Close losses though. Their average margin of defeat in their 5 losses is just over 15 ppg.

Rivershark wrote:I'm assuming the 3 individuals that gave Kindred three 1st place votes also gave Oak Grove some pretty high votes. I do not feel Oak Grove is a top 6 team. Take them out of the top 10 and Kindred has no quality wins. There are a few honorable mention teams that I feel could easily compete with Oak Grove. Polls would be more interesting if the individuals voting had to explain their reasoning.

Kindred also beat Barnesville, MN 67-58 on the road...Barnesville is 10-2 on the season playing in MN Class AA and their only other loss is to #1AA Roseau, MN 74-68. That right there is a quality win for Kindred.
Kindred also returned much of their team from last year's 19-4 season (Region runners up to FCT)
Oak Grove is riding high on an incredible win streak while beating some quality teams along the way:
Richland (6-3; just beat #8 LaMoure and gave L/E/M all they could handle)
Medina/PB (7-4; losses to Carrington x2, LaMoure & OG)
Thompson (7-4; young but formidable team...near top of R2 but still well below PRFL; OG played flat this game)
Shiloh Christian (6-2; defending state champs and ranked #3 at time of win; forced 32 TOs and hit 11 3's)
**Of those 4 wins....3 were on neutral courts or on the road (Richland was home game)

That's more like! This is the stuff I like to see. I like to hear how the other teams progress throughout the season because you sure don't see it any other place. I did see them play Thompson and I agree they did look flat.

Their 3 losses were to the top 3 teams which is understandable, yet North Star has a low strength of schedule, so how do you really know they are a quality team without being tested? Does the RPI take into consideration the weekly media polls? It will be interesting to see how the rest of the season plays out with these numbers.

If you can't look at North Star's results and tell they are a quality team you have blinders on.
When has PR actually been "tested" this year?
