I think it's pretty close but you also have to consider Tyler Lundy and Jake Landry.

I would say that Jake Landry is the best pitcher in the state considering he took Grand Forks Central on his back to a state title.

Ebert is a great pitcher but I believe Landry and Lundy are better pitchers than Ebert.  Landry only because he throws about 6-7 Mph faster and Lundy because his junk is sick.

nd2bball, have you seen Landry and Lundy pitch?  You must be related to Ebert!  How can you justify saying Ebert is WAY better?

No one can bring the heat like Landry... I don't think he's a better "pitcher" than Lundy or Ebert, but he can throw it by anybody, so it really doesn't matter.

Lundy has an outstanding curveball and his fastball has good movement as well. Ebert is just an solid pitcher that does everything well.

I would go Landry, Lundy, Ebert, but all three could get a win against any team in the state.

At the State Tourney, when Landry pitched against Lundy, both were throwing 86 mph consistent, but Landry threw harder when he needed to and hit 90 mph 4 times.

I didn't know Landry could throw 96-97, because Ebert has hit 90...

*Guarantee* you Ebert has not hit 90, dont kid yourself, I love how people try to exaggerate how hard people throw..

one pitcher wont win a championship, i didnt really follow the tournament, but the only way it would have effected it is if he pitched the championship

exactly, there's is absolutely no way teams would have scored as many runs as they did off Ebert if he was throwing 90...He is a good pitcher, dont get me wrong, but he has not hit 90

Hey guys, this is tom ebert, i was just curious about what would be said about this topic before i said anything.  First off I would say landry, luddy and I are all close when it comes to this.  Landry obviously throws harder then lundy and I but we also throw two or three other pitches with it.  I was gunned at 88-89 in a bemiji tourney and wished i could have thrown that hard at state but I pulled my right hamstring in the EDC champ. game.  Overall I think you guys have it right though cause not to many people can touch someone that is throwing 90 even if they know its coming, just ask the minot team.

Thanks Tom, you assesed the situation perfectly..Enough said about the top 3.  Who are some of the other top pitchers in the state?  Who will the next top 3 be?  This should create some more lively discussion......
