I don't understand why they are scheduling the extra non conference game. I think they need to try a bit harder to find a game to fill that spot. Maybe the conference could find another conference to work with to play the 10th game. I would think they could find schools in Iowa, Nebraska, Minn., or Montana to play.
As far as getting rid of the program that is rediculous. I said it before and I will say it again. These schools need to try to recuit more locally. That is what is going to get people to go to the games. If I live in the area and my kid is playing for a local college, I am gonna go to the games. People are not showing up to watch a bunch of strangers from a different state. The appeal is not there like it is for the bigger schools. The first step to building success in a program is creating revenue. Parents will go no matter how successful the program. More people in the seats means more revenue. More revenue will help build a stronger program.
