I really don't think Minot has that many quality runners up there.  In the west Century will probaly be the only competition for team totals , but at the state meet it'll probaly be Fargo South.  Bismarck should win by a fair amount if all goes expected and no one gets hurt.

There isnt a team in the state that will come close to BHS.  They are a powerhouse. I think it's fair to say "DYNASTY"

Congrats to the BHS boys/girls track team. They did very well in Sioux Falls at the Howard Wood Relays. They won many events and a lot of them placed. Plus a few school records. :D

No team will compete w/ BHS!

State Finals

1. BHS

2. Century

3. South

after that its up in the air.

When bhs has there whole team at meets they win by 100+ points, I've seen meets this year that they only have half the team and they get 2nd or 3rd and not too many points out of first.

They probably place 2nd or 3rd when their whole team aint theyre because they're numbers are so huge compared to the other schools.

Yeah, since Century has such a small track turnout. No excuses here, they are the best team in the state because of the quality of runners.

Are you saying Century is the best team or BHS? I hope your not saying Century. BHS has 28 athletes qualified for state already.

Sorry, I meant BHS is the top team by far. I was just replying to the poster who said the only reason BHS is good is because of the turnout.

It's not every day where a team has one of the top athletes in almost every event. Their distance running crew is phenomenal.

1/2 of chs students are in track i think if you play basketball or football you are basically forced into it if you want to see playing time next year or get recomendations to collage i am currently seeing it happen

Athletes don't need recommendations from coaches to get into colleges.  As far as playing time is concerned, as altruistic as coaches would like to be they will still put the best athletes on the field whenever possible.  Colleges send out questionaires and the athletes send in tapes.  High School coaches can be a good source of information but they don't have as much impact as you may think.

Also doesn't Century have basketball and football coaches who also coach track?  I am sure they would like to have the athletes being accountable for the off season workouts.

Great job to Sigl, Binegar, Reichenberger, and Stroh for breaking the State Record in 3200m relay! I think they beat it almost by 3 seconds, and thats a lot of time in track.  Also the record was 25 years old.

The 4x800 at the region meet was quite impressive.  I am looking forward to this weekend.  I am working at the meet, so I will be able to be down on the field both days.  There are many great athletes to watch.  If the weather cooperates, we could see state records in the girls pole vault, 110 Hurdles, 400M, 4x800 Relay.....any others?

From a team standpoint, BHS may win by the largest margin in history.  They are talented and deep.  Anderson and Zittleman do a good job and get great numbers.

There is nothing like the ND State Track Meet.
