I'd like to start tracking down some of the stars of gridironpast. Whatever happened to:

Howdy Lawlar from Watford City? I remember he went to NDSU...then what? what's he doing now?

Using all powerful google, it appears he is living in Watford City and does some basketball coaching, also he's registered as a ref. with the NDHSAA.

I wouldn't be surprised if James Molstre is a pastor someplace.

I saw Scott and he lives in Mandan, he was playing softball in Fargo.  I think his wife is the better athlete in that family.  He was saying that he'd had just gotten back from CA where his wife was inducted into the NAIA track hall of Fame.  Mandy from Mandan, don't know her maiden name for sure.

I was surprized that Brian McNeil ended up at Nebraska-Omaha, I had heard that a lot of DIA's were offering him.  Sounds like he is having an outstanding year.

He had everything lined up to play at Central Michigan this season after turning down offers from places like Louisville and Arizona St. but  Central Michigan backed out at the last moment and most other places had already used up all their scholarships by that time.  The NDSCS coach had some connections at UN-Omaha and he enrolled their as the 3rd string RB.  The 1st two got hurt and now he is proving everyone else wrong and making the best of a potentially very bad situation.  It just goes to prove good thigns happen to good people.

any truth to the rumor that neither UND or NDSU wanted him? Not that either is/was thin at RB but depth is a gold mine too.

I believe there is alot of truth to that, and it was mainly due to academics.  But from what I know he is doing great in his classes at Omaha and right on track.

Myles Bosch lives in Fargo, his son (soph) plays quarterback for Fargo North, a chip off the old block.
