Yah Ming I heard what happened, Minot's down by 3 with two outs and nobody on in the bottom of the 7th, and they come back and get 4, bummer.

Whadda ya think Ming? Did you guys get screwed in the top of the 7th on that play at home? Your coach was pretty hot. I was there, but I didn't see the play that closely. Elgie did a good job of blocking the plate, but I don't know whether Erhardt (is that who it was?) touched home or not.
As for Minot not scoring off Eichele, he kept them very off-balance. Minot has hit the so-called aces (or better pitchers, i.e. Wentz, Loomis) of different staffs very hard, but they really struggle against guys who can throw but aren't really pitchers. They do a lot better off of guys who throw harder fastballs and not a lot of junk.

Erhardt said he didnt touch the plate so it was a good call at home.  But from the dugout it looked like he just got the tip of the plate.  We had that game in the bag.  But thats baseball, I will give them credit.  Horneker and Elgie came up big for them in the end.

What happened in that second St. Mary's-Williston game?  7 Home runs in one game.  That's unheard of in high school.

Yeah there were a ton of deep shots.  The wind helped a few of the HR's cause it was blowing out to left.  Some still would of went out either way but it helped a few of the long balls.

yes, mandan did beat williston, but barely, then in the next game (also a conference game) Williston made Mandan eat a loss by 20!!!  Thats a bucket of water on their fire!

In tonights game Minot v. Williston, Willistons right fielder caught a pop fly then dropped it and picked it up again, the umps saw nothing and called him out. Long story short Minots coach was ejected from the game.

Williston 11

Minot 10

Not sure about the second game though

Minot lost the 2nd game also by the same score 11-10. I heard that Elgie was 4-4 with 3 HRs?

Mandan did get smoked that second game, but after jumping out to an early 9-0 lead, the Braves pretty much threw in the towel.  hats off to Williston, they just kept hitting and hitting.  But hats off to Mandan also, they have gone 6-1 in conference play since the Williston game after starting the season 1-6.

Wow, that's a huge loss for st. mary's.  That leaves the door open for Mandan to bounce up in the standing with the st. mary's-mandan showdown next week.  That's gonna be a huge game for both teams.  Also bismarck has got some games to play still, too.  I guess it's gonna be a dog fight for that 5th spot.

From May 12 at the Jamestown Tournament (not a tournament format)
i caught about the last half of the first game(minot/rr)...uh...offensively minot is good. jamestown beat dickinson, but basically i think dickinson beat themselves...i don't know if i have ever heard of a team winning a game when they have 8 errors.
on saturday dickinson plays two with red river at 10 and noon-thirty and jamestown plays two with minot at 3 and 5:30 p.m.
