I was very impressed with the running game, they should have no problem running against anyone this season. But if NDSU wants to beat Minnesota and Central Michigan they need to work on the defense (other than the LB). The secondary was very shaky and looked kind of slow, they gave up way too many big plays but they made some adjustments at half-time. And the d-line never really pressured Southall. Granted, this was NDSU's first game and Southall is an outstanding QB, but they have a lot of work to do. Next week's game will be tough vs. Sam Houston St.

I predict they finish 10-2

Any thoughts?

This year NDSU plays 11 games. Next year they can play 12 games. I say 9-2.

The secondary is gonna have a test....I would say walker needs to step up as well, but he had only 2 real interceptions last week so he did pretty good, the rest were just freak accidents on how stephen f. got the ball!!!

It's difficult to get a real good feel for the defense, when we had 6 turnovers.  I think the defense and the secondary will prove to be very, very good this year.  I may be overly optimistic, but I think we'll beat both the gophers and Cent. MI.

I'm gonna say the secondary is gonna win or lose the Bison a few games this year like the Central Michigan and Minnesota game. Your trying to replace a safety who made the NFL 53 man roster and now have a starting CB go down for the year. Gonna be tough to run the ball on this defense so i think your gonna see plenty of teams try to pass the ball alot.

All I can say is: Walker is the best non-option QB to ever play at a North Dakota university... by far.

SHSU threw the ball 61 times last night if thats a sign??

that was the best football game i have ever watched in person, about 25% of the people leave with 26 seconds left and the Bison score before they even have a chance to leave the building

They also did not have a running back so Bohmar is the one that had to run.  I don't know that yesturdays game is a good measurement of teams trying to run on them.
