I NEVER said that. I was saying that its very unlikely for a guy who didnt place at state last year to take state. Thats means taking 1st place. Going from a nothing to the number 1?? I never said it cant happen, I'm just saying its very unlikely.
sorry, i misunderstood you. but i think in a sport like track because it depends on individuals (except relays) more than teams, anything can happen. someone can take state one year and struggle the next year, especially girls! :)
