I love Richland's style as well. Even when their shots aren't falling like they were in the first half they're able to hang around with their defense and offensive rebounding. I'm looking forward to seeing their plan against Shiloh and Young inside.

Missed a lay up at end there & from my perspective, I thought their transition defense hurt them badly to close out the first half & in the 4th quarter. Half court defense wasn't great--but it really hasn't been as they have been having to score in the 60's and 70's to win against decent teams. They give up plenty perimeter game & if you are not hitting--well, you get a game similar to this. It all worked out though & we got a good game.
Richland shot poorly from the perimeter because they seem to need another basketball to go around as all they do is play one on one--and launch. Point guard is only guy that passes. Richland superior athleticism with the 5 starters--very undisciplined though. That lack of discipline almost cost them. If they are hot though, look out. Could work in their favor.
Lots of open shots in that game. Congrats to Powers Lake & i really like their crowd. Hope they can win the next two. Congrats to Richland on advancing & getting it done. Definitely a better game to watch than that first one.
Big Blue wrote:I definitely don't mind him, but man he had some of the most captain obvious comments ever today. "Shiloh Christian played better than Beulah today. That's what this time of year is all about." or "If you outscore the other team by double digits in the first quarter, you will win more than you lose." Just got a good laugh out of those comments. But in general, he is fine.

With the right 3-class system I think DT, BR, OG & Shiloh would be included in the middle class...ORCS and WTC are very small so I'm not sure there...

Why didn't they opt up in football? Or didn't they have the chance? Just curious.

I just looked at the draft of what school representatives voted on this year. In that plan, all schools with under 150 high school enrollment were in the lower class. That included ORCS, Trinity Christian, DT, Ryan and Shiloh.
