Regarding the Class B Girls rankings, its my understanding that Reagan Baesler is out for the season due to an ACL injury.

Preseason poll is usually just the graduating seniors removed from state results...plus not all Class B coaches know of that injury yet...it’s been posted here but many coaches usually come on here

I've heard Baesler elected not to have surgery and has been practicing with a brace.

In Class B XC I can't see anyone beating Huber or Krack. Far ahead of the pack...

#1A Alex Luz edged out #1B Isaac Huber yesterday in Wahp/Breck. Barring any injuries I agree with your statement.

I was at the Jamestown meet and Smith stayed with Huber through 2/3's of the race. But Huber is SO strong to finish. The last time Smith beat Huber was two years ago. Smith also plays both ways in football which is a HUGE factor IMO, especially at the end of the year. I can't imagine getting beat up on Friday nights and running a 5 k Saturday morning. You never know about the New Town guys. They typically start slow but by the end of the year are strong. I would think Hale will be there in the end. Huber HAS to be the favorite this year.

Girls are another story. The Hillsboro crew ALWAYS finishes the year strong. I wouldn't count a couple of them out. The Langdon (Ramberg) girl could also push Krack by the end of the year. The Froelk's are young and looked GREAT in Jamestown, so they will only get better. Jarrett from CArrington could be there in the end also. But I agree, Krack has got to be the favorite. I just don't think I'd go out on a limb and say no one will beat either on the "B" side of things.

For Class A - I don’t think anyone can come close to Alex Luz. The girls side should be close with Megan Ford, Mattie Shirley-Fairbairn, and Kelby Rinas.

I stand corrected, the Ogle gal out in Watford City should probably be the Class B favorite, I thought she graduated last year but is a senior this year. While I personally think Huber is the odds-on favorite in the B, I think Hale will be right there as well.

I'd bet against her in Class B.

I'd imagine being Class A sure would make it hard to win the Class B title.

Yeah, finding results is quite difficult. I have a lot of respect to the Bismarck coach that maintained that site for so many years.

What exactly did Williston do to get bumped down to #3 on the Boys A list? September 8th in Mandan they put their full varsity forward and pretty handily beat everybody. Last weekend at Anderson-Stavn they clearly didn't have most of their top runners in. Is there some meet that happened this last week where their full varsity ran and they bombed?

My guess would be people didn’t realize that their til squad didn’t run at Bismarck! They are still my clear #1
