Also, if you go back and look at the voting record a year ago when they rolled out the new format, Jamestown in Devils Lake not only voted in favor of the new plan they were both very vocal in claiming that they belong in double-a for competition purposes. Jamestown's administrators were very active during the formulation of the new plan to ensure their placement.
It also is not accurate that Shanley never wanted to be AA. If you talk to their leadership and fan base, they LOVE being in AA, their attitude may be changing with a new coaching staff, but under the previous regimn, they wanted to rain in AA.

Acid?
Shanley and St Mary's would do just fine in AAA They wouldn't get their butts kicked. They just wouldn't be in the state championship game every year.Wilbur wrote:Postby bingobangobongo » Mon Nov 06, 2017 11:51 am
St. Mary's vs. Shanley. Shocking.
The NDHSAA has to ask themselves a question: Is it better for St. Mary’s and Shanley to kick everyone’s butts in Class AA or get their butts kicked in AAA? I guess I for one am sick of seeing these two in the State title game almost every year. It makes AA the most forgotten of all the football classes.
