Here's a look at all of the area all-state picks.
• Hankey, first team: The co-Region 4 senior player of the year batted .424 with a team-leading six home runs, as well as 33 RBI, 30 runs and 12 stolen bases. He had 17 home runs, 156 RBI and 56 steals in his six-year prep career.
• Zavalney, second team: The sophomore batted .473 with 15 extra-base hits, including two home runs, and led the Aggies in RBI (35), runs (38) and stolen bases (16).
• Calen Schwabe, Thompson, first team: Schwabe is a repeat first-team all-stater. This season he batted .457 with 33 runs, 15 RBI and 12 steals. He had a 4-0 record on the mound with a 0.74 ERA.
• Cadyn Schwabe, Thompson, first team: The sophomore moves up after being a second-team pick in 2016. Schwabe batted .500 with 32 runs, 14 RBI, a team-leading 10 extra-base hits and was 24-for-24 on steal attempts. He had a 4-0 pitching record with a 0.95 ERA.
• Marcus Hughes, Thompson, second team: The sophomore batted .467 with 25 runs, 23 RBI and 17 steals. He was 3-0 with a 0.40 ERA pitching.
• Tyler Kliniske, Grafton, first team; The Region 4 co-senior played of the year batted .392 with 22 RBI, 28 runs and 13 stolen bases. He was 5-0 on the mound with a 0.84 ERA, striking out 58 in 33.1 innings. He was a second-team pick last season.
• Marcus Niemann, Grafton, second team: The junior is a repeat second-team pick. Niemann had a .405 batting average with two home runs, 21 runs and 22 RBI. He had a 2-3 pitching record with 44 strikeouts in 30.2 innings.
• Lucas Mohn, Hatton-Northwood, first team: The Region 2 senior player of the year hit .462 with five home runs, 19 RBI and 25 runs. He was 4-0 pitching with two saves and a 1.15 ERA. In 30.1 innings, Mohn struck out 50 batters.
• Jayden Komrosky, North Star, first team: The Region 5 senior player of the year was 3-1 on the mound with a 0.62 earned run average. He struck out 67 batters in 33.2 innings. Komrosky batted .364. He's a repeat first-team pick.
• Jacob Tupa, Larimore, second team: The senior batted .357 with 18 RBI and 15 runs. He was 3-2 on the mound with a 1.47 ERA.
• Jacob Delvo, Langdon-Edmore-Munich, second team: The junior was 3-2 with four saves and a 3.20 ERA on the mound, striking out 40 batters in 34 innings. He batted .500 with 18 RBI, 25 runs and 19 steals.
• Hunter Sand, Midkota/Dakota Prairie/Lakota, second team: The junior shortstop batted .371 with 20 RBI and 14 stolen bases while leading the team with nine extra-base hits and 22 runs.
