Game of the week: Des Lacs @ Velva/Sawyer (Does the outcome of this game change up the number 2&3 spots for 3 teams in Region 3??) Velva has to win to get the 3 spot..

PRFL @ Harvey: Can Harvey give them a tough game?? Maybe a fun one too watch.

DLB & Ryan clinched the 1- 2 spots. LC/OR owns the tie breaker over Velva/Sawyer. LC/OR wins they're in.

Friday, October 14th
Oak Grove (1-3; 3-4) @ Northern Cass (4-0; 6-1) Northern Cass is just too much and Oak Grove is struggling as of late
Milnor-North Sargent (2-2; 4-3) @ Carrington (2-2; 3-4) Not sure why but this one is just my gut feeling. I think Milnor was exposed a little bit last week and Carrington has the momentum IMO
Oakes (0-4; 0-7) @ Ellendale/Edgeley-Kulm (3-1; 5-2) This will be ugly. Unless Ellendale decides it isn't worth it to play their starters

Rugby (0-4; 0-7) @ Larimore (4-0; 7-0) Larimrore by multiple scores
Park River-FL (2-2; 5-2) @ Harvey-Wells County (2-2; 4-3) Park River seems to be building some momentum and this late in the season in a close game you pick the team with the best player and Hankey is that player
Langdon (3-1; 6-1) @ Lakota/Edmore/Dakota Prairie (1-3; 1-6) Langdon in a closer game than people think unless Langdon sits people

Des Lacs-Burlington (4-0; 6-1) @ Velva/Sawyer (2-2; 5-2) Des Lacs in a really good game
Bishop Ryan (3-1; 6-1) @ Bottineau (0-4; 1-6) Bishop Ryan keeps building momentum heading into the playoffs
Westhope-Newburg-Glenburn (1-3; 2-5) @ Lewis & Clark/Our Redeemer's (2-2; 4-3) In couple score game

Southern McLean (2-2; 2-5) @ Hazen (4-0; 6-1) The home team wins easily with one of the better players in the state
Garrison-Max (1-3; 1-6) @ Killdeer (3-1; 5-2) Killdeer in a blowout
Heart River (2-2; 2-5) @ Standing Rock (0-4; 0-6) Heart River by multiple scores

Friday, October 14th
Northern Cass-they'll run away with this game. NC is playing some tough ball right now.
Carrington-Hanson is a great player but Carrington should be able to contain him. Carrington has more talent.
EEK-This shouldn't be much of a game but Oakes isn't going to roll over for them. EEK will have to show up.

Larimore-will dominate
PRFL-This will be a good game but I think PRFL's pride will get them the W.
Langdon-won't have any troubles with this team.

I like these picks, the only one I will change is that I think PRFL finds a way to beat Harvey. I say this because of the same reason I think MNS will find a way to beat Carrington, they have the best player. There is no sport where the cohesiveness and fluidity of a team impacts the outcome more than football, but in smalltown ND football with the season on line it's hard to pick against IMO the two best athletes in their respective games (Hanson & Hankey). Both of them being quarterbacks and touching the ball on every offensive snap furthers this logic. If the o-lines for MNS and PRFL can both hold up I believe both teams will win in very close, entertaining games.

I agree with Capncrunch and the picks. PRFL has almost all their weapons back. Biggest of all, the hole making Johnson who went down on the first play from scrimmage against Larimore. Hankey can make his own holes and when he gets past the line and linebackers, I feel sorry for the hits the secondary is going to have to take to make a play. This is and has been the playoffs for PRFL since the Langdon loss. I expect a great game from Hankey , and if they key on him, and they will, some big plays from others that have been out and now back. PRFL by 8
