Congrats to Coach Jay gibson and coaching staff for having his kids ready to play some football.
0-0 at halftime with, in my opinion, the Packers out playing the Demons. The Demons defense bent, but did not break in the first half despite giving up yards and first downs to West Fargo. The Demon offense did virtually nothing in the first half as WF had a spy/ghost on Layne Johs keeping him contained the first half.
The Demons took the opening kick off in the second half and scored easily. With WF keying on Johs, the Demons gave it to their fullback for big yards in that drive. But a punt each later, West fargo drove down rather easily and scored adding a two point conversion to go up 8-7 putting the Demons behind for the first time this season.
The 4th qtr started with the Demons down by one, but a few minutes into the 4th a Demon TD was scored as well as a two point conversion. WF offense started to sputter. Demons got the ball back and with their ball control ground attack, pushed it upfield and Johs finally broke free from about twenty-five yads out to score the final TD of the night.
West Fargo played great football for three and a half qtrs until the Demons manged to get those last two TDs plus their defensive stops. Again, congrats to the WF coaching staff for a great game plan and the kids for executing it.
