Region 1: Wyndmere-Lidgerwood--both schools have some talent coming back, and with a new co-op they should be tough (Lisbon--curious how they'll be without munkeby's leadership, FSHP, C. Cass, Kindred---could all make some noise)
Region 2: Hatton-Northwood (Thompson could knock teams off like always)
Region 3: Linton-HMB
Region 4: Langdon
Region 5: Center-Stanton (even though they lose kids to graduation, I don't think this region is tough enough to knock them off)
Region 6: Kenmare (maybe Our Redeemers)
Region 7: Hazen
Region 8: Stanley

I know in MN almost every HS team has a JO team and most athletes play in the spring and you can usually tell who is going to be good during the fall. VB pretty much has two seasons in MN.
3Putt wrote:I think all of the eastern class A schools have associated clubs and most of those clubs play in tournaments that include MN clubs. The only club I'm very familar with is the South Fargo one. I think all of the girls on the Fargo South JV and varisity rosters played on it, but I'm sure in other schools girls play soccer, softball, track, etc in the spring instead.
3Putt wrote:Back to the original question: does anybody know who were some of the successfull 17s and 18s teams? I think the south fargo 18s did OK. It sounds like Red River is the EDC favorite so it would be interesting to hear how their club (Stars?) did.

I know of many girls who play softball or run track and play JOs. West Fargo always has a team. I never saw their older girls play though. I've seen North's team many times too, although not this year.3Putt wrote:Back to the original question: does anybody know who were some of the successfull 17s and 18s teams? Is the Stars mainly Red River girls? Because I know in the 2007 JO season Devin Trefz, Bagley (MN), played on their team. Trefz is playing at UND now. I'll try to find out how the Stars team did later today.
