Sorry to burst your bubble, but Marshall and Hazen would have been very competitive in Class A this year. Certainly better than 8th

Just another class A person thinking they are higher up in the world compared to class B. Golf is basically an individual sport where you are playing against the course and not another person/team. Hazen's team was unbelieveably good and would have place very high in the class A state tournament. I'm sure a lot of those kids have played the same courses the class A tournaments were held. They were all just good golfers period.....don't need to put a class label on them.

gostars, Here's a spelling lesson. WHATS. not wats. PEOPLE, not ppl. And your calling people stupid. Sheesh! Why cant you give Hazen a little credit? They have one of the best golf programs in the state. So what "IF" Valley City wins the next two years. You cant take away what Hazen has done.

But because of your statement, I will be one of many cheering for everybody but Valley City. I would love to see somebody "eat crow" after a bold prediction like winning state the next two years when golf season is nine months away.

Im from class "A" and I know for a fact hazen wouldve placed in the top 8 at the state class "A" tournament... they had a real good squad with Marshall and Borud. Maybe the next two years VC can repeat like Hazen did tho....but i guess we'll see...

Ok just to let all you know hazen obviously hazen has a very good program, hazen will be very good untill the 2012 class from hazen graduates. There is so much compition on that team it is unbelievable. Hazen has three returners Conor Borud (won state as a sophmore) Brady Hillerude (lost in playoff for first HIS 8TH GRADE YEAR) and Brett Leier. Not to mention hazens JV team went to a class A torny and won it as a team yhis last golf season.

Valley City will be a strong contender for a state title took 8th in class "A" last year with 3 sophmores and 2 freshman.

I wouldnt be bragging about 8th. 8th is kind of a joke. If Hazen or about 2 other Class B schools would of played A there teams would of done alot better than 8th. So id stop bragging up 8th its not good

gostars...class A courses are much EASIER to score on because the greens are in wayyyy better condition than class B courses....there is no question about it...class A courses=overated..many of the class B players play those courses in the summer and do just as well or better than A kids.....

at the courses they play are way easier to score on. The courses are way shorter and the greens you can stick a ball anywhere on the green. So dont say they class A courses are harder to score on, when you play fargo cc and shoot below 80 and have under 27 putts. Then you can come talk smack.

i have played both class b and class a courses and am not in high school so im not favoring anyone....class b courses in the spring are in such bad shape...its literally impossible to shoot a low score...greens are terrible...class a courses are a little longer...but greens are way nicer and easier to putt on...i would have to agree with bigshooter
