That is true, but the riders failed to produce a state champion in individual play the last 3 years for the boys season. Isn't that worth something to talk about for a change?

It would be interesting to see if RR would have a 15? state winning streak if the post season was played out doors instead of indoors. I feel that RR is overall more of a finesse team instead of a 'grinder' team. They tend to need the conditions to be just right, if not, their shots are just not quite as sharp. When it is windy out, they do not look overpowering or untouchable.

Now don't get me wrong, RR has had and has a good team- but there have been other good teams that have come close to beating RR.

As for RR not having an individual state champion the last three years, I'm not convinced that is a huge deal. Each team in the state (for the most part) has at least one good, quality player. Plus the East part of the state has been so deep the past few years- I mean, the East went 7-1 in the first round at state for singles individuals.
It all depends who you play and when you play them, Fuka (GFC) was on fire at EDC, Lawley (FS) also could have made a state championship run, McGuigan (FS) has always seemed to linger around at state and Johnson (RR) could have just as easily made a state run too. I would have not been surprised to see any one of those guys in the championship (assuming they were on the other side of Othoudt). Plus people like Otero from Shanley or Olson from West Fargo can give anyone a run for their money when they are playing well. So there really are no "locks" for the championship, talent goes in cycles
