Interesting Tuesday Results
Kindred over Wahpeton 76-65
Devils Lake whomps Turtle Mountain 89-44
Watford City loses to #2B Bowman County 53-39

DL had 61 points at half. I think they should be the favorite. I can't wait to see the DL/Thompson games. That will be a clash of styles.

DL might win it all, but they shouldn't be the favorite right now. They lost to Bottineau tonight. The Stars led from start to finish. They have some talented girls on that team.

Class A has several good teams that are being underrated early...and some that are being overrated early.


Wahpeton - should drop out of poll IMO
Northern Cass - not impressive against Valley City's JV (well their Varsity minus starters) -- I believe Northern Cass was up 19 at half time, but no idea how it ended up so close
Central Cass - maybe tonight was game of season and being flat...wasn't impressed vs. Lisbon -- this was a much, much closer game than expected. Lisbon may be light on numbers, but they may have some good talent in those limited numbers

Devils Lake - Should move up
Bottineau - has shown to be solid...win tonight over DL
Kindred - definitely looked good in G1 (they had 1 of their 8th graders score 28 against Wahp!)
Shiloh - has played some close games but sits 2-0

This poll will be a revolving door as the season continues.

Very interesting to me that the Top 5 teams in Class A were all playing in Class B last year. Wahpeton and Watford City both appear to have been overrated to start the year. I do expect them, Devils Lake, and Turtle Mountain to all have good seasons but it's pretty clear to me that this 3-class system was long overdue.

People better start keeping an eye on fw girls, a fairly young team with only 1 senior...their biggest loss was 13 points to #1 thompson and they beat #2 northern cass last night on nc's home court...led almost the entire game..

That goes to show you that high school sports goes in cycles. For long time Kindred was at the top quite a bit but now the current coaching staff has run most girls out of the program so they only have 14 girls in the whole program. I think they have 5 or 6 Coaches for 14 girls.

14 girls in the program and 6 are 8th graders. I don't think that is a healthy way to run a program.
