Bottineau 42
Watford City 35

Watford was ahead by 8 at the end of the 3rd quarter...Bottineau went to a half court trap and outscored WC 19-3 in the last 6 minutes. Good game. 2 close games for Bottineau (Velva).

THOMPSON 54,
NORTHERN CASS 52
Northern Cass 13 6 19 14 52
Thompson 12 17 17 8 54
Northern Cass - Brittany Olson 12, Sam Lako 6, Kalai Lundquist 9, Kristi Larson 13, Ashley Lako 4, Laura Rensvold 8
Thompson - Jessie Weber 16, Brittany Reineke 10, Nicki Schumacher 5, Taylor Broyles 6, Laura Schumacher 6, Whitney Sponsler 6, Kylie Herland 5

I thought N Cass was a top team in Region 1? Any comments on this one?

FCT is probably the top team in Region 1. Northern Cass is first going into District 2 play. That would be great if they are not playing great ball right now at tournament time! They play Oak Grove first district game on Friday. That should not be a tough one for them, but anything after that could be a toss-up.

Fenske does not appear in the box score. If she played it is hard for me to believe she didn't at least make a free throw. Does anyone know if she played? NC playing without Fenske does not have as much dimension. She is a very good passer. At 6'1" tall she stands out on the perimeter killing defenses with her passes to basketcutters.
