It seems as though we all pay a lot of attention to how many points individual players get on any given night.  But what about shooting %?   You look at box scores, and see that someone gets 24 or 28 pts- and you say to yourself, "wow, he/she must be a great player to score like that."   But how many shots did they take to get that?  You never hear or see that stuff.  I've been on the NDHSAA site, and very few teams post their statistics on that.  When choosing players for the Lions game, all-region, etc. - do the voters get to see that info, or do you just see the usual line:  __pts/game, __rebounds/game, __assists/game, etc.  In the college box scores, you get to see a player went 3-5 on field goals, 1-4 on 3pt, 2-4on  freethrows.  I think they should do that for highschool as well.  We have the technology to get this info, we should be using it.

It's difficult to get good stat people and most of the coaches main job is teaching 5 or 6 other classes.  It can become a time issue thing really fast.

It would be "nice" to see.
