Kristen Cuypers scored 22 points against Oakes Saturday in a 55-51 victory to put her over 1,500 points for her career (1508 total points).

Good size, nice range on her shot, good rebounder and can dribble the ball. Where does she rank as far as Class B players this year and where does she rank all-time?

Personally I think she is definately in the conversation for first team all-state, though some of their losses this year have left me scratching my head.

As far as all-time, 1500 points is 1500 points and she has shown incredible consistency throughout her career being a go-to scorer.

Its hard to improve on what she did last year. I dont know the exact stats but im sure it was around 23 points and 11 rebounds. I think one of the best that the state has saw in a long time. She can score, rebound, dribble if needed, and her passing is in my opinion improved since last year. She does the things needed for her team to win. I would give serious consideration for her to be in the top 10 of all time.

i think the chances of her getting 2,000 are out of reach.

six regular season games left. in the best case, lmm makes state, so then you'd have three district games, three region games and three state games, giving you 15 total games left.

for 500 points she'd have to average 33.3 points a game. which, if they could make state is MAYBE a somewhat makeable goal.

She can score over 30, shes proven she can do it, but like you said best case senario 15 games scoring over 30 for 15 straight would be pretty tough especially with other teams keying on her. I think 2000 i pretty much out

I haven't seen her play, but from what I've read, you think she will runaway with the region 3 player of the year award?

Um... my guess is eckroth will win the player of the year, from the stats, idk if shes as good as she was when she was younger. Do you think Nenow will give Cuypers a run at all?

i think cuypers has nenow beat on stats...though if cp were to beat lmm in districts or something, maybe that would switch a vote here or there

the 26 th they play.....would be fun to watch. it would be interesting to see what lmm team shows up. they are very streaky in my opinion...the games i have seen it seems like they arnt into it. and i can only think of 2 games this year where it seems like they have played a full game.

I've seen both Cuypers and Nenow play this season and imo Cuypers is head and shoulders above Nenow

~ She does have nice size and she is a great offensive threat but she really needs to work on her foot speed and her defense. If she plans on playing at the next level anywhere, she will have to focus on defense and foot speed. She is a nice player player with alot of ability though. She should at least be a second team all stater. Her team has lost some games they maybe shouldn't have. They need someone to step up to be more of a floor leader and they would have not lost two of those games.
