I think both Garrison and Central McLean are a threat to Shiloh making it to state. All it takes is one of those two teams to get hot the night of the R5 Title Game, and they could get knocked off. Yes! the Skyhawks beat them both earlier this year 51-35 over CM, and a 49-40 victory over Garrison last Friday, and Garrison beating CM 66-62 in OT back on Jan. 11th. But, I didn't see Center-Stanton knocking off Shiloh last year in the R5 Semis, as I had Shiloh vs Wilton-Wing for the region crown, with Wilton getting past them. Shiloh, Garrison, and Central McLean will be the top 3 in this region again next year, they all three return a lot of talent. All in all, "If" we get a Garrison/Central McLean match up in the R5 semi-finals, all it would take is for one of those two teams to get hot when they play Shiloh, and it would deny them a trip to state for the second year in a row.
As for the boys Wilton-Wing, Flasher, and Standing Rock could make a pretty compelling case. But just because of the injury to Friesz, wishing him on a speedy recovery, It is hard to bounce back when a key player goes down. But, I have hope that I don't think that will define Flasher's postseason run, Shiloh is really good when it comes tournament time. They will be iffy coming into this year's tournament, as the gap between Shiloh and the field is still there, but it isn't as wide anymore. Yes! They will be the favorite every year, but it will be a matter of time when before they will be like the rest of the teams in this region. Like I said one of these three teams I listed above could knock them off their perch come tournament time, unless they beat themselves. When tournament time comes it's beat Shiloh or bust.
