2021 Miss Basketball

Postby Sportsrube » Mon Mar 08, 2021 11:40 am

According to news sources, these are the 4 finalists for this years Miss Basketball:

Mackenzie Hughes (Thompson) - 18.7 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 4.6 apg, 4.7 spg

Samantha Oase (Hettinger-Scranton) - 20.4 ppg, 11.7 rpg, 2.0 apg, 3.0 spg, 2.2 bpg

Alex Page (GF Red River) - 17.1 ppg, 7.9 rpg, 2.0 apg, 1.7 spg, 2.0 bpg.

Ryleigh Wacha (Fargo Davies) - 16.0 ppg, 10.0 rpg, 3.9 apg, 3.2 spg, 1.3 bpg

Thoughts? Predictions? I honestly don't know enough about the 2 Class A girls to make a prediction.

IMO it's very tough to make a case against a 3 time first team all state selection (Sam Oase)

Wacha and Hughes will both be 1st team twice. I'm not real confident in saying this, but I think it is between those two. Yes, I know Page was Senior Athlete in the EDC.

I have not seen Page and only watched Wacha twice on line. In my opinion Hughes is absolutely the best Class B player and I would pick her over Wacha. Not sure about Page...

Both class B girls are very, very good. Hughes is better at certain parts of the game, but I think Oase is the more complete player. Either way, both great picks for finalists.
