Makes you wonder about rankings. I don't know how we could have a challenge game to go to State but some teams never compete very well at that level. Sorry to say they don't belong but it's the hard truth.

LaMoure shot lights out...Kidder did not. It happens to every team in the State to have an off-night. Region 3's tournament will be a good one (as always).

Langdon over Grafton 51-44 IIRC. Close game throughout, with Langdon leading most of the way. It will be a crime IMO if Grafton isn't the #3 seed (assuming they make it).

Is a reason Langdon shouldn't be #1 over Kindred, assuming both teams are undefeated?

The reason I believe Kindred is number one and I have to agree is that they are defending state champion until somebody beats them I would rate them. Langdon is very good team and schedule they have played this year and being unbeaten so far in my opinion is that they could also be considered number one team. I will say Langdon will have more difficult time getting to state if they do with Four winds in there region. I would say Four Winds if they were some other regions they would be favored team and its no given Langdon will beat them if they should play in the region. Grafton is good team but they are not assured of making state either with Thompson in there region. I believe this years state tournament is going to have number of very quality teams and if it goes as I think number of these teams will be experienced teams that have been at state tournament either last year or just year or two in the past.

Looking at their schedule and the wide spread in the score it makes you think there isn't enough competition in their District and they aren't as good as their ranking. Funny they don't schedule Oakes. IMO everyone should be in a super region and get rid of Districts. Makes for better competition and could make for a better State Tourney.

Well Lamoure/Litchville/Marion took Kindred to overtime and had a really good chance of winning. So they are a legit team. So if Kidder had an off night... it can happen.

I think the State is has two teams that will be fighting for the State title. Kindred and Langdon...

So that means either one of both teams will get beat in the regions and not make it to state or will get beat in the first round of the tournament.

LLM beat Carrington by 25 last night, so they are definitely on the right track at the right time.

How does FWM beat a ranked Rugby team and drop in the poll? Fun fact: they've also beaten Grafton and Carrington. Skin color?? Someone help me out.

They moved up in the Week 11 poll after beating Rugby to a 1 vote lead over Carrington...in Week 12 there was a 2 vote swing that moved them down. After LLM’s domination of Carrington last night (and FWM taking care of business in D7) my guess would be that FWM will move back up to #6 for the final poll.

In the end, the poll shouldn’t matter cause now with Regions starting up it is about getting 3 straight wins and moving onto State.

Skin color comment was also on twitter....interesting. Doesn't the pole matter for the bracket in the state tourney?

Coaches vote for the bracket seeds...poll has no true standing on the seeds (it's a guideline among the many other guidelines to help the coaches vote).

Agreed. They should never rank a team ahead of another team unless they know for sure the team ranked higher is gonna win.

Coaches all know who is who in the State of ND and if you don't want to hide in your Region/District and be over ranked get out there and schedule the best teams in the State of ND. It won't hurt your ranking to lose to the best teams anyway. Look at HCV, Four Winds, & Shiloh schedules this year in boys. These teams understand it helps to play tough competition. I guarantee Kindred would accept any challenge because they are crossing the river playing up in MN to find good teams to play them. Besides it fills the bleachers!
