Top 3 teams are still Kindred, Langdon and Grafton IMO.

Grafton/Kindred tomorrow should be good.

Grafton was very impressive against kindred yesterday. Grafton was way more fundamentally sound and was definitely winning the game until #15 got hurt when two girls were tangled up and she hit her head on the floor.

Was at the Kindred/Grafton game as well. Grafton definitely top 5 team. Were up on kindred by as much as 9 in the third. Kindred took the momentum in the fourth. Terryn Johnson one of the best posts in class b in my opinion, dominated both offensively and defensively, had 18.Carlee Sieben from grafton, had Abby Duschrchrer or Burner face guarding her the whole game, still managed to put up 17, definitely one of top point guards in the state. Was a very good game overall.

Thompson outscored Grafton 34-30 in the second half. I'm interested in what happened.

you can go watch on youtube.
I think a lot of people see the polls and think this game is a toss up. Last year this matchup was a toss up, this year Grafton is better. It will be an upset if Thompson gets back to state this year.

It looks to me that Thompson shot 4% from the field in the first half. Seriously. 4%. :?

They use to stream them on ustream or something like that, they stopped a few years ago. I didn’t know they had a new one going.

Graftons defense had something to do with that. Grafton and Thompson 2 of the top defensive teams in the state. Grafton made it hard for Thompson to score. Grafton also has several scoring threats which makes them hard for teams to defend. They have good shooters, and inside play. Grafton is definetley top 5 possibly even top 3 in state rankings.

After losing to Medina last night I expect to see Linton-HMB drop completely out of the polls this week They really miss their injured player more than I thought they would. Hats off to the Medina girls and their coaching staff. They had a very good game plan last night and executed it very well.

Why is a five loss team receiving votes. Is it because of the strength of schedule format or what. But I would've had Midway-Minto, Grant County, Flasher, or Heart River in that spot, I'm just curious why.

My guess is they have to have at least one Class A team involved or they may be frowned upon on how they vote.

Going to guess someone from the Bismarck area chose them as their 10th team since they are leading Region 5. Shiloh has a good, young squad; Grant County & Flasher do as well...any one of them could have received a single vote from an area NDAPSSA member (they are listed last so it's almost a given that they received just one vote).

Most polls have 7-8 quality, guaranteed teams then a 'revolving-door' in those final 2-3 spots.

Key Wins over Linton-HMB (when healthy), Flasher & Underwood
Losses to #1 Kindred, #2 Langdon/E/M, #7 FW-Minn. (close), Grant County, Velva (just pushed Rugby)
Upcoming games: host #6 Rugby (2/1), at New Rockford-Sheyenne (2/7) & host Bowman County (2/8)

Four Winds played Langdon to within 6 in a good game last night. (I'm thinking the FW squad is shooting free throws in practice tonight... )

Grafton/ Langdon this Friday will be another good game among ranked teams.

Should be two good games in Grafton tonight. Boys will be interesting with Grafton at 12-3 coming off a nice win against Cavalier on Tuesday and LEM at 10-4 coming off a nice win at Benson County last night. Girls game matches two of the top 3 or 4 teams in the state. FYI if anyone is coming to Grafton tonight, the boys varsity is scheduled at 6:00 with the girls to follow at 7:30.

Makes you wonder about rankings. I don't know how we could have a challenge game to go to State but some teams never compete very well at that level. Sorry to say they don't belong but it's the hard truth.
