Do they still give team sportsmanship awards? If so, I wouldn't be surprised to see a team or two not get it.

Kudos to Grant County and Killdeer. Not the way I was predicting it but wow what a couple of awesome semifinal games. Honestly don't know who to pick now. Going to be an awesome Championship game.

Saw that MPB stayed out during half time to cheer on the Special Olympic game. I give alot of respect for that. New favorite moment of class b basketball! Good luck to Killdeer and Grant Co!!!

MPB Girls BB team is a class act. Really good kids and a great coach. I have had the pleasure of watching numerous games of them over the past four seasons. Hats off to them on a great season, and to their seniors for a great career. I’m sure they made their communities and schools very proud.

This doesn't surprise me in the least. You will not find a better person than Brett Thielges, coach of the MPB Thunder.

I believe it alternates between Minot and Grand Forks for a few years.

Congrats Grant County!! Best team in the state without a doubt!
Unreal last 4 games, beat the #1, #2, #9, #10 teams in the last poll. Cant remember a more impressive 4 game streak! heck of a year. One for the ages.

I agree with KG4MVP. GC played with so much heart and determination. They never quit. How about that Taylor Roehl! Being out with an injury from mid-December until early February and have the regional and state performance that she had. Impressive team.... overall exciting tournament with such great teams. I don't ever remember a class B state girls tournament being as exciting as this years. Hats off to all the teams!

Great tournament, lot of fun to watch. So many close games that really could have gone either way. Great run by Grant County to take it all.

Congratulations to Grant County on the championship! Great tournament, I would like to see it stay in Minot every year. There is a lot of talent all across the state. Even though participation numbers are down in girls basketball, it looks like the sport is in good hands. Hopefully there were some young girls that got inspired to chase their dreams while watching this weekend's tournament.

Correct. You can find the sites for the next 7 years state competition for all sports on the NDHSAA website. For Girls basketball it alternates between GF and Minot.

I heard rumblings last weekend that there's talk of having the tournament at the "Betty". I think it's a lot better venue for the fans, but is it big enough? I would guess the other option would be the Alerus Center again, but I thought the fans were really disconnected from the game in that venue when I attended last year.

I wonder what attendance was this year in Minot? Is it possible to get some bigger bleachers on the baselines in the Betty? They're pretty small for a state tournament.
