Game one for both teams in Enderlin saw two good 9th graders squaring off. Hanson from Oakes and Tingley from Enderlin. Both are terrific 3 point shooters and pretty athletic. It was a good match up for first game and well played by both teams. Both freshman shot well and will be forces for their respective teams the next 4 years. Oakes went up early by way of Hanson's 3 point shooting and Enderlin came back largely on the back of Tingley's 3 point shooting. Enderlin won by 2. These two will be fun to watch in the years to come.

Elizabeth Schanilec and April Schmitz are the top 2 scorers as freshmen for Midway Minto. The team has looked good so far with a 5-1 record. I think their only loss is to MPCG.

What a great State B girls tournament. I was surprised the crowds weren't bigger, but maybe with the location and the weather forecast that deterred some.

On this subject, I saw a lot of young talent coming up in our state. Thompson and Kindred really have some talented eighth, ninth and tenth graders.

Grafton has some really good young players. 7 freshman and 2 eigth graders on the Varsity team. Dusek and the Sieben twins come to mind. Both of the Sieben twins can shoot the three ball real well.
