This is something that doesn't happen very often lately in district tournaments where for the championship number 4 seed Benson County is playing for Championship against the number 6 seed Lakota-Edmore on Monday. Also this brings about some unusual matchups for the play in games with Number 1 Warwick going against Number 3 Fourwinds; and then you have Number 2 Harvey-Wells County going against Number 5 New Rockford-Shennne in the other game which should make for real competitive final night of Districts. It will also make the opening round of region tournament have different matchups than were thought. The Region 4 tournament favorite has to be North Star and they will be the team to beat.

Potential matchup of North Star/Four Winds-Minnewaukan...IF FW-M beats Warwick & H-WC beats NR-S (also dependent on North Star def. Langdon)

North Star's only loss on the season was too FW-M 53-50! Could make for a very interesting Region 4 first round!

I thought this district was always wide open come tournament time this year. I picked BC to take down Warwick based on Warwick struggling a bit lately, but I had FWM in the championship as well and did not see Lakota making their run. Been a great tourney so far. Too bad either FWM or Warwick are going to have to go home after tomorrow night as both are among the top 4 of the district, but that's why they play the game.

The 4 region qualifiers from District 7 are a combined 4 games over .500 ! District 8 qualifiers are 40 games over .500. And yet, North Star faces 4-Winds in the opening round. It could be one of the most nerve-wracking 1 vs 4 opening games in a long time.
