1. Kindred
2. Thompson
3. Kidder County (tough to call as Carrington, KC & LaMoure-LM are all solid competitors in this region)
4. Lakota/Edmore
5. Shiloh
6. Bishop Ryan
7. Dickinson Trinity (Bowman might be looking upset)
8. Watford City

Seeded teams being:
1. Bishop Ryan
2. Kindred
3. Watford City
4. Lakota/Edmore/Thompson (whoever finishes better)

I don't know that much about region 3 as I haven't seen any of them play. . It's that close, huh? What about North Star? Are they playing to their potential going into tournament time? I expected big noise this year with Kilvang and Hagler. Not a diss, just haven't heard a lot given their size and Haglers history.

Yes, Region 3 is a bit of a toss up. If you look at the common opponent between Carrington and Kidder the margin of victory is very close. Carrington was actually down 11 to LaMoure and came back and won in the 4th Quarter. So yes, any of these three could easily go.

North Star has great potential and could beat Lakota on any given night. I believe Kilvang and or Hagler were out for a couple of their losses this year with the flu. Benson County is another sleeper in Region 4.

Sorry, i couldnt go with 5..............

Had to to go with 6 to get the WC kid in the top 5? Obviously a wetern ND, WC supporter! Just a guess!

From Minot, but I seen Watford City play Bishop Ryan, she is a hardnosed players, who works hard on offense and defense, she is not flashy at all, but no one is going to out work her.........I really like how their coach gets them to plays so hard, i really enjoyed watching them play, they attacked Ryan instead of staying away from and hoping to keep it close, they played to win.......just not enuf firepower........but they will be a team to beat next year.

Nolan4 is right...Mogen is an incredibly hard worker and Watford City is really good. She derserves Top 10 consideration...but maybe not quite Top 5 (nothing against her though).

Katie Mogen goes for 29 points, 15 boards & 5 assists in D15 Title Game!

Went to watch Rylee Nudell last night at the District 2 semis. She has a nice stroke and played some nice inside and out team ball. More balanced team play from MV last night than I have seen them play previously. I also caught the second half of the Kindred game with Oak Grove. Not a knock on Kindred, but if they play like that down the stretch, I smell an upset. I assume they probably weren't up for the Grovers, but seem to have moved to more of a perimeter offense as they seemed more balanced when I saw them earlier in the year. I dont think MV has the tools/depth to stay with them, but if Rylee goes off and gets help from a couple, it could be interesting. Also, Farimount and/or Sargent Central (who is playing great late season ball) could be a problem for Kindred.

I was at the game to and one thing Ive noticed about this MV team compared to those in the past is others are shooting the ball with some confidence yes Nudell did have 29 or something like that but numbers 14 and 40 had good nights to if they play like that Kindred and the rest of region 1 better look out

Their season was always going to come down to the play of the other starters. In Class B, an all-stater and strong play from 2 players at Regionals usually earns a trip to state.

Someone told me that there has been quite a trend in Region 1 in that the winner of District 2 has lost the Region final for the past 5-6 years. Is that true?

Who represented Region 1 last year? I thought it has basically been Central Cass for last 4 or 5 years.

My memory isn't very good, but if anything, District 2 has dominated Region 1 for many years, boys and girls. In fact, if my memory is correct, it's not uncommon to have an all-district 2 semi-final round, or nearly so. Central Cass has had their share of appearances in state tournaments, but so have OG, Kindred and Northern Cass.

Yeah, I know all about the big red success story. I was trying to find out is if the district 2 champion has struggled to win the region championship the last five or six years as rumored.

Lakota/Edmore losing at halftime by 8, that would be an upset if Benson County plays well the second half.

Lakota/Edmore 65-61, Freije scored 28 second half point, 41 total. Jorgensen had a great game for BC, 29 points.

Overall great championship game by both teams. Hope to see both go for round 4 in the region championship

Does anyone have a final in district 8? I heard Langdon was up with 5 min left. Just curious if Northstar came back.

Only #1 seed NOT to win their district was Divide County in District 16.

#3 Stanley won 47-39 (District 6 is playing Tuesday)
