Fallyn F. was in Cavalier last night.....she is a dominant force, UND is very fortunate to land a player like her
she is a true competitor and a class act on the court... :) .....may your future be bright... :)

I see that everyone is picking North star as number one team in the region and I thought so too at the beginning of the year but I think right now that Lakota-Edmore could win this region. The Pesek girl is expected to return here now before season end I think she should get to play in last three games of the season. I also think her being hurt has made Lakota-Edmore become better team since they have played more players and they have responded well with the playing time. Lakota-Edmore plays very good defense man to man and they are only team in the region that can match up to North star in height not quite as tall but close. They have Feije at 6-0, Twedt at 5-11, Pesek at 5-9, and now Ronnigan at 5-9 which I believe will effect North Star on offense of not playing against girls of this size. I also think this Lakota-Edmore team looks like they are mission to get back to state its very senior led team with 6 of its top 8 players being all seniors. This week both North Star and Lakota=Edmore will play common opponents so we get see how they are stacking up but I believe in the end only way will be if they play each other in the region tournament.

I wouldn't say that NS would be the favorite in a re-match vs Lakota. Lakota totally controlled the games in last year's championship and this years Ramsey tourney. NS was without Hagler in the Ramsey game, but even with Hagler back now and playing quite well, Lakota can play such a stifling defense that I would still consider them the favorite. NS would have to be hitting well from the outside to defeat them.

I watched both teams play. I have to give the edge to Lakota/edmore on this one. With Lakota girl out n being back not sure if she will help or not didn't see her play. Feije is a really exciting player to watch play. She can dribble drive shoot inside out but very good with commication amoung her teammates. The key I see with her is how well she is the General on the floor as she is doing this she is always smiling with a outgoing personality which makes it so much watching her put up the stats she does. I look forward to watching her at UND.

Alli Vandal doesn't get mentioned much at all on this site except for a quick mention at the top of this thread. I don't see a lot of GBB, but she certainly impressed me in the 2 games I've seen her play. 6'0", good moves inside, a really nice 3-point shot (made 3 tonight), brings the ball up court very well. Just a very good all-around player.

Langdon vs Rolette game I see by box score that Lexi Wittmayer girl didn't score was she missing or did she get hurt. I think she to good a player to be totally shut down for a game with out scoring.

Out with Mono. Too bad because she is a very talented player and changes everything Rolette does with her height and athletic ability.

District 8 highlights from all games here:
http://www.northstar.k12.nd.us/videos/

Vandal had some trouble in the NS game going up against Kvilvang, but scored 30+ in each of the other 2 games. In the first game she had four 3-pointers, in the last she went end-to-end several times.
