Thoughts on D1 and D2 and Region 1 as a whole?

District 2
1. Kindred - returns a good core of their team...they lose 2 starters and 2 role players of the bench
2. Central Cass - returns a good JV and some very good role players from the Varsity...the loss of Dixon and Co. will be tough to replace though
3. Northern Cass - they return most of their starters and much of their role players...they should be tough next year if Whitney Ward makes a full recovery
4. Maple Valley - essentially they return their whole squad...with probably the BEST Freshman in the State
5. Oak Grove - lose 2 seniors but returns 95% of their scoring...depth and New Coach will be possible issues
6. Enderlin - returns Krista Thielges and many decent young players that got good experience this year...also good young coach that gets the most out of his players
7. FSHP - return many key players and some height
8. Richland - the loss of Olivia Johnson will hurt the Colts...this will be a young team

OG's coach decided to move on to something else or school got wanted someone else? Have they hired a new coach?

Appears to be a very tough district.

The way it sounded the head coach from last year was not going to have the time to coach this year and do schooling at the same time. I heard somewhere that they have hired someone...I've got no details though.

The former OG coach is now an assistant coach at Concordia College.

I am up and the air on who will win this region. Kindred is tough if they play the run run run and run game... the key is if somebody can slow them down and not turn the ball over. Maple Valley will be right in the mix with their young Talent.... Oak Grove will be pushing hard for a state berth this year with a great group of returning kids and a great inside player that will be hard for anybody to stop. Central Cass has one of the best players in state returning and lots of height with some aggressive guards.

Don't forget about Northern Cass...they return nearly everyone this year...and Enderlin as a sleeper pick since they also return everyone from last year. District 2 will be ridiculously good again this year.
