No confirmation yet, but a couple of the Grafton girls are looking toward Concordia. If I do confirm anything, I'll post it.

Hannah Breske, Central Cass (2013)

"Hannah Breske won’t have to go very far to play college basketball. The incoming senior at Central Cass High School gave North Dakota State a verbal commitment on Friday to complete a lifelong quest.

“Ever since I was a little girl, I always dreamed of being a Bison,” she said. “It was always a goal. Work hard and do the best I can to try and be a Bison. It was a dream come true.”

The 5-foot-11 guard/forward averaged 15.9 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.1 assists for the Squirrels last season. NDSU first contacted her last summer, and the pace picked up in the last several months.

“Just her size and her length,” said Central Cass head coach Ryan Mears. “She’s a versatile player who can handle the ball and play an off-guard or wing position.”

Minnesota State Moorhead and the University of Mary (N.D.) were her other two college finalists, with Nebraska-Kearney also showing interest. She is the first Bison verbal commitment for the 2013 freshman class and can make it official during the early signing period in November.

Breske eclipsed 1,000 career points during the North Dakota Class B, Region 1 tournament, where the Squirrels reached the championship game. She also helped Central Cass to a North Dakota Class B state volleyball championship last fall.

She was a second-team Class B all-state basketball selection last year. Mears said her basketball stock took a hike in offseason AAU tournaments.

“I started getting a lot of coaches emailing me with interest,” he said.

Concentrating on one sport will be different for her, she admitted. She also played on Central Cass’ standout softball team."

I'm pretty sure I mentioned this before, but she's a poor rebounder for her size.

I haven't seen her play in awhile, but what does she do really well?

I haven't watched a lot of games the last two years but when I have been there it seems she is good at getting to the rim and she has a great midrange shot.

What does she do well... well... plays a great guard and anybody would want her on their team. She needs to put on some muscle and get tougher because physical play throws her out of her game. She hits the ground to much with flopping which will not transfer to college refs, like the HS refs that call it a foul every time.
But If I was starting a team... she would be on it. Shoots the ball well and can score... defense does not get your name in the paper either does rebounding. She is a scorer.... and a real good one.

That is really sad...they used to get good recruits from the western and northern part of the state.

Does anyone know what happened to the young lady from Grand Forks who won Miss BB a couple of years ago. I know she played for Northern State in Aberdeen, SD last year but she is not on their roster this year.
I don't remember her name off the top of my head - maybe Caitlin Farroh??? She was a dominate post in HS and she played quite a few minutes for Northern last year.

Northern St was not a good fit for Farroh. Lets hope she turns up on a roster somewhere next year. She could play and seemed to be a nice young lady.

I thought she played fairly well for a true freshman playing at a DII level, bur Frederickson is a tough coach to play for. Hopefully she continues her career somewhere else.
