I believe Hagler went over 500 last year didn't he? I imagine Grinnesteiner is up there.

Not sure. I'm pretty sure there was a topic last year about him getting his 500th win though. Might have been 400 or 300 though. That seems more likely now.

edit: I couldn't find it when I looked back, but I found this one for Monson at Carrington:

He started coaching North Star boys in 06-07. Before that he coached Cando girls for around 6 or 7 years and before that he coached Bisbee-Egeland boys.

Bisbee egeland girls teams, then when they co-op it was Cando, Bisbee egeland, his first year as the Boys coach was 2006-2007 season I believe.

Nate Monson has 423 wins as a boys coach & 76 as a girls coach. For Jeff Hagler, I would doubt he has 400 yet. He's only approx. 42-44 years old which would mean if he started coaching immediately when he finished college he would need to be averaging 20 wins per season to be at 400. I'm guessing he could be 300+.

Monson also missed 7 years of coaching. from 1997-2002 he quit to watch oldest son play sports and from 2002 to 2004 he was sick and missed 2 years. i believe that he is 53 now.

Carr has to be knocking on 800 wins. The article I read had him at 728 wins following the 17-18 season. The article only references boys wins, I thought he coached girls too - is that not correct? I also thought he retired from coaching - did that not not happen or did he come back?

Dan has never retired from coaching. I believe he took a year off a long time ago to get his Master's degree but that was a long time ago. In then last 34 years he has not coached girls, don't know about before that.

Watching Linton on Bek right now and they said if they win today it would be Carr's 799th win.

Dan Carr has a career record of 800-276 overall. He is 764-252 as the end of his 41st season at Linton (Linton/HMB since 2010-11) comes to an end on Thursday.
His career record includes 3 seasons (1978-81) at Belgrade, Minn., where he had a 36-24 record.
He started in Linton in 1981-82 season and coached through 1986-87 season before taking off 1987-88 to earn his Master's degree. He returned to Linton in the fall of 1988, and has been there ever since.

Did he take a year off from teaching too I assume? Pretty sure you weren't taking online classes in the 80s.

Yes, during that year he was an assistant at NDSU

Rick Smith must have quite a few wins under his belt. Anyone know how many? Rotvold must also be up there. And by up there, I don't mean 800 like Carr. I'm guessing these two must be around 400?

Rotvold hit 400 at the very beginning of the 18-19 season, so he should be getting pretty close to 500 now. Less than 20 wins away, if my math is correct.
