Tyler Bolme quit before last season, and anderson played maybe a total of 10 minutes last season.  Troy brown needs to become a better defensive player if l-m-m is gonna make run at bcn next year, he also needs to quit trying to be a 3-point stud, and work on his inside game.  I think l-m-m has a very legit shot at being the second team in the district.  Look out for some younger players on this team.

District 1 will have Lisbon and Hankinson as the top two teams, with probably the two top players in Carlbloom (Lisbon) and Mauch (Hankinson).  The other two regional spots are up for grabs with Sargent Central and Wyndmere possibly taking those but North Sargent and Milnor will also be in the running.

District 2 will have Kindred in the top spot, along with maybe Oak Grove and Richland behind them.  I think Central Cass lost alot, and i'm not sure about anyone else, maybe Hope-Page-Finley Sharon??

Who does Hope Paige Finley Sharon have coming back?
I don't know if I practiced more than anybody, but I sure practiced enough. I still wonder if somebody - somewhere - was practicing more than me.

from the hope-page contingent, there is keth vosgerau, john thorson and freshman nick nelson. those are the kids that weren't listed as seniors in last year's hoopster anyway.

from the finley-sharon group there is senior ryan mehus, sophomores dillan ostrom and shawn palmer.

i know next to nothing about any of these players, but hope that helps in anyway way.

i think he is either the No. 1 or No. 2 baseball writer in the state personally (alpern out in dickinson is right there, too, imo). great guy. good mind for athletics in general. solid ability to sift the good stuff from the junk and crank out inches on deadline. of course devillers is hands down the best across the board.

District 5 is going to be a battle for second.  If they stay healthy, there is not a team in that district that is going to compete with LaMoure.  They have three all-district players from last year (Shockman, Brandenburg, and Holen).  Shockman was one of the smoothest post players around last year as a sophmore.  Holen and Brandenburg will make up arguably they best shooting back-court in the state. They have Watkins who looked like about a 65% shooter from in-side the arche and he'll get alot of wide open shots with everyone so focused on those three all-district players.  And they have Donny Schrader, they transfer from LMM who, I believe, was averaging somewhere around 13 ppg before a knee injury.  If they get anything from their bench they will be deadly.  It could be an ugly year from all the other teams in that district.
Trust me I know

That Hansen kid is a very good player that goes to williston tryinity. he is very athletic and should go somewhere pretty big for college. d-1 or a big d-2 school. he is going to be a junior and as a sophomore he was tough to stop at the beginning of the year. down in the hettinger holiday tournament he had the ball on a fast break and dunked on us. it was nuts.
