I thought Zap was in the championship game with Zoar! Or was it Arnegard? Anyway, good luck Zoar. They've worked hard all year.

Zoar has that outsanding winning tradition to carry them through the title game tomorrow night. The Widgets also have the height advantage with their 6'11" center Scruggs - light on his feet for a 300 pounder. And Lester Flat is only 5'10" but he's got that 50" vertical - can't be stopped on drives to the basket. Did you see him jump right over that Zap defender on Tuesday?

As for Temple, the only hope is that they have those 3 blind mice again for refs. And their sportsmanship - ugh - every time a call goes against them that lady with the scraggly gray hair jumps up and starts spitting through the one tooth she has. And she's the only one in Temple that CAN afford to go to the dentist.

I hope the Zoar Widgets just crush Temple. Long live the Widgets!!!!!

Point/Center - you win my vote for best topic!!!!!! :D :D :D

Didn't Scruggs play for Temple his freshman year and then transfer to Zoar?

Zoar draws good players in like moths to a light. Even though they only have 39 kids in high school, 19 of the 20 boys have been all-state at their previous schools.

Zoar still use Flats as player-coach? Any chance he's named Mr. BB and Coach of the year?

Flat won't get coach of the year. He's only won 79 games in a row and 120 out of 122. That will get you a ride out of town tied to the back of a '57 Dodge pickup. Parents are tough in Zoar......

Yes, but he was held back 6 years in a row before being allowed to start kindergarten. Zoar does that all the time. I even heard the courthouse people doctor the birth certificates so they can play well into their 20s. Learned how to do it from a Dominican baseball academy....

Burt and Bently are shooting it out in the region 10 championship. Game tips off at 7:30 in the Lefor all purpose room. I predict that the team with the most rug burns takes home the trophy.

Sad news. Scruggs was just arrested. It was discovered that he is part owner of a Vegas casino with mob ties. In no way do I mean to bash Scruggs, its just the story I picked up.
I blame the enviroment he was brought up in. Too much pressure from Kindergarten on. Those 5 or six years held back in pre-school had to take a toll on him. Let this be a lesson to us all!.

I apologize for my post, but I felt that Scruggs being 23 years old and an adult, that maybe it was in the best interest of the many members of preps to know the truth.
I would like nothing better than to be told I had incorrect information.

TY

Scruggs is getting legal advice from the lawyers of Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens. He'll deny any involvement and it will be hung up in the courts for years. In the meantime, he will be cleared to play in the region final and for the final 4 years of his high school career.
