an automatic pick for preseason all state next year is obvioulsy thomas burke. He is an absolute stud. Look at the numbers he put up for not even being bowman's go to guy.

true, we will have to see what happens. I know burke is a really good player and will have to do his best to shine through that. I almost guarantee he will. But, we will have to see. I can see your not a big thomas burke fan.

I never said I am not a Burke fan. In fact, I love watching him play because of his defense. I'm just saying that with Tivis, Pauley, and Breen on his team, odds are he didn't have the greatest defender on him. Like I said before, we will see next year how he does with every team's best defender chasing him around.

Give some substance to why Burke will be all state next year. Give a little information about him, i've never heard of the kid. What grade is he in? How about points and rebounds or assists a game? Give some info on a kid if nobody's ever heard of him, if you don't it makes you sound like your just a friend saying it to be funny. So what makes him all state material?

Like some of you mentioned Wheeling, Bakkum, Packineau brothers, Boger and maybe Marshall from Hazen, Casey Becker from Beulah, Vetter from Minot Ryan, Lorenz from Mayport, and thats all I know from the east.

Mark Bakkum senior [Steele Dawson], Caleb Shockman junior [LaMoure], Ben Holen junior [LaMoure] are some region 3 possibilities. Also, maybe Beau Sizer senior[BCN]

burke will be a senior next year. He is an excellent shooter and is in the greatest shape ive ever seen. In regionals one of the games (i think it was hazen) he had 10 of their first 14 points are something like that. He really was a key for them. Sorry but i dont have stats right now i will try to look them up and get back to you.

I think that Mark Keithly is a very talented guard from Trinity. He is calm under pressure and can flat out hanlde the ball.

Bakkum and Sizer don't play good enough defense.

I was at the region tournament.  He didn't impress me defensively against Lamoure.  I saw the other games he played there too, I will admit he can play defense when he decides too, but when I saw him it was minimal.

The games I was at I saw Bakkum play shut down defense in the district tournament.  He wasn't the best defensive player on his team though.  They had a guy out there just to play defense I believe it was number 13?? Anybody have a name on him he played good defense.  But Bakkum played great defense in the district tournament.  So I don't know where you got that from but thats your opinion I guess.

I have been watching bakkum from steele-dawson play since he was a freshman. (I beleive he started then??)  There are no arguements about it, he is simply just a great player on the offensive and defensive end of the floor.   He is extremely fundamentally sound.  He creates a large majority of what happens on the floor....We must not even be talking about the same guy or else you guys don't know a great player when you see one....

OK, get your facts straight and I have many people to back me up on this one.  Mark Bakkum guarded Bata and he only scored 10.  Anyone can back me up on this one.  Flourhaug did have 38 but it was not on Bakkum.  Flourhaug played a great game also I may add, but Bakkum did not guard Flourhaug.

Bata had 10, that isnt bad for Bata, I don't see how Bakkum is good for stopping Bata.  Bata isn't a great post by any means, I have seen him play enough to know he relys solely on athleticism.  I dont know how shutting down Bata would prove a good point.
