Who were the best outside shooters this year? Please try to back up your comments with stats if possible.

I know Jeff Smith and Payton Tivis also even tho he didnt shoot much from outside-because most points came from layups and putbacks but when he shot you knew it was going in! Jaden Voth also is a good shooter

I would have to go with Ernst to, the boy shot lights out in the state tournament from three point land. Don't have stats maybe somebody else does.

I know he made 10 in the first 2 state tourney games and maybe one or two in the championship. He also nailed 2 or 3 huge threes against bowman in the region championship to help trinity clinch the win

Smith,Ernst,Voth,Tivis,Default "6' 8"Killdeer soph. gaurd"

Ernst sure hit allot of clutch 3s in the district, regional and then state. Now you can see what a tuff region we had, heck there were 3-4 teams that gave Trinity a better run for their money than some of those  state B teams.

Smith seems to almost score at will.

Voth shot 60% and also scored when he wanted to also.

Tivis was always around the bucket and used the glass very well.

Default and wheeling will make a name for themselves next year from Killdeer.

Getting the opportunity to watch junior Mark Bakkum from Steele-Dawson at the Region 3 Tournament I realized that this boy could shot the deep ball.  Sorry I couldn't find any statistics.

There are a couple of kids from LaMoure with real nice shots too.  Ben Holen and Brett Berry both can drain the 3 from long range, and do a good job of creating their own shots as well.  From the stats that I found, both shot over 40% from behind the arc, which is pretty good.

I agree with Jimmie44, that Berry kid from Lamoure can shoot the three as good as anyone.  As for the Holen kid, well that whole family can shoot the ball so why would it skip him.

I agree with you on Mark Bakkum. There are quite a few kids around the state that can shoot. But the Bakkum kid has to have as much range as anybody.

watch out next year for thomas burke from bowman. he is a very good shooter and a great defender. he hasnt really had a chance to show what he can do but next year he will have to lead the bulldogs.

That's right lambboy. you really know your stuff. Great post. You're getting my respect. Thomas Burke is one of the best defenders in region 7 and will lead the bulldogs next season. Him and Jordan "Big Baby" Maher.

Go Bulldogs!!!!!!:alc:Cheers to that guys.

Funny you put a emoticon about drinking on your post about Bowman players.

Thomas Burke is a good shooter and great defensive player.  Jeff Smith was a great scorer and above average outside shooter.  Voth is the same way.

Ernst is a great shooter.  The state tournament should have proven that.

I also liked the Packineau sp? kid from Parshall and Bachmeier from Shiloh.  They each had sweet strokes from the outside.

Hazen's freshman Marshall has a great looking stroke as well and they will be dominating next year.

It looks like someone likes this Buke kid a lot, maybe himself... but oh well... he is a decent ball player though
