taking a stab here at the switching of boys' and girls' seasons...could be way off base.
on the pdf of the chair meeting, under the district 5 chair, it says he wants to talk about not switching the starting dates for the seasons. then under district 12 chair it says that he wants to talk about a flip flop of the boys' and girls' seasons.
the football season this past season ended around nov. 11-ish and the volleyball season ended on nov. 19. maybe they are thinking that because the boys are done earlier, they should begin before the girls?
there is also talk of shortening the volleyball season, and that might be the other avenue to go down. i think they were suggesting a shorter season in volleyball by two weeks which would end the season before the state football games, and then the girls' and boys' basketball seasons could remain the same.
