has there ever been a boys and girls basketball team in ND to win both state titles in each gender? i was asked earlier this week and i couldent think of anyone, but i only had about 3 minutes to think...so if there has been who and what year?

as far as i can remember it hasent happend in the winter-winter basketball seasons...but it might have happend in the fall girls/winter boys

which poses me with another question, has there ever been a year were 1 school was just dominate in sports? like won state in football basketball baseball track something like that... like 3 or 4 state titles in the same year boys and girls both count to that total

yes, bishop ryan won both girls and boys state titles in the 93-94 season. Greg Limke was head coach for both teams and still didn't win coach of the year even though the boys were undefeated.

wow, thats kinda surprising he dident win coach of the year....thats got to be hard to do, cause if i understand girls state would run close too or into the start of the boys basketball season...must be kinda hard to head coach 2 teams at the same time...any others then Ryan?

I'll represent for Shanley.

96-97, 97-98 Boys and Girls State Champions. Yep that's right, both our boys and girls team won back to back state championships at the same time. Quite a run and enjoyable time!

Ahhh....didn't do the math on this one. The question seemed general but forgot to realize I was in the Class B topic area. No harm no foul. Best of luck on your search to find B teams that have done the feat!
