Anybody signed or made any verbal commitments for basketball? I'm not even sure when you can sign with a team if you already can or if its like football and there is a certain date.

They have like a certain period where you can sign.  You can in the beginning of the season like in november and december.  But from December whatever date til April you cant sign with anyone.

As a JC Alumnus, It would be nice to keep the talent local.  I am sure they will do well for the Jimmies

It is down to just a few colleges for Voth...Williston and Wahpeton are the top contenders for two year schools and NDSU is the top contender for 4 year schools.  It will be fun to see where he decides.  It would be fun to see him play with Hennesy (Mr. Bball of last year) at Williston, who went to the national tourney this year.  I heard they might want to offer a full ride to Jaden.  It would also be nice to see him play out east cause that is where I live.  He would fit in very nicely for Wahpeton.  They lost to Williston this year to go to the National Tourney, the game was at Williston.  I know he was in Wahpeton recently for a visit and came away very impressed of what they had to say.  Signing I believe is not until April 9th or somewhere around that date for Juco colleges, not sure for four year schools.  I would like to see him go Juco, because there is no doubt he will be playing in a lot of games right out of high school and getting a lot of experience along with that.  Williston and Wahpeton are very good programs, both are Division 1 Junior College programs and get to play some very tough in-state and out of state competition.  Wherever he goes I know the program will be very happy to sign a kid with that much talent...best of luck to him!

Zach Larson from Oak Grove is going to Jamestown College.  Not sure if he is going to play football, basketball or maybe try both.  He was a two-time  1st team all-stater in FB and was first team this year in BB.  The area colleges have gotton some good local players the last couple of years.

all in all i think that is a decent recruiting class. but what i'm curious about is who will actually make the court out of those guys. jc had an overall young team last year and there isn't a whole lot of room for any of them to just 'move in and start'. couple that with a couple of half-decent players that were only jv players (andy cook from carrington, eric giesler from kulm, tyler cook from NRS who i think red shirted, among others) and what actually happens to these recruits?

who do you red-shirt? who do you think will get to college and find out they can't play in a different system?
