bottom of the poll is a little surprising to me anyway
how so?
rep wrote:yeah, i would agree with that.
but whoever wins between steele-dawson and linton will likely drop out of the poll after friday. either lisbon or hankinson will drop a bit after they play, same with killdeer and hazen.
i think the poll has the potential to be fairly fluid right now...realistically the only reason beaulah is even on there, as far as i can tell, is because they started the season ranked no. 1. they, trinity and parshall are the only two-loss teams in the top 10 and i think that hankinson and lisbon have gotten the benefit of an unblemished record while steele-dawson hasn't. steele also hasn't played as many games yet as most of the other teams, so that probably hurts them.
i think it usually takes until the end of the season for the poll to work itself out anyway.

Killdeer and Hazen are very solid teams. Watford City has a good all around team they seem to have 8-9 guys scoring anywhere from 6-20 pts a night and I see they beat Bowman by 21 this past week, more then Killdeer and Hazen beat them by. Dickinson Trinity had a very nice win against Hazen. Did they have some players missing?? I seen they had two or three different scores in the Hazen game that didn't score in the Richardton Taylor game..Marsh was one of them. Four Winds will move up next week with a big win against Wells County. All in all though I feel teams are where they belong at this time of the year, But it doesn't matter where you are now it is where you are at the end. I would bet at least one or two of those teams just receiving votes or a team that is not even getting any votes at this time are in the State Tourney when that time comes around. To my knowledge there are many wide open regions. Which is what makes CLASS B BASKETBALL the best sporting event in the Tri-State area.

Thats the way it used to be done not to many years ago. Unless everyone of these bozos who votes watches all the teams play and can give totally objective input then there shouldn't be a poll. All it is now is a beauty contest. I just hate polls in every sport and every level!
