Not that it would change this bracket much, but region tourney winners should be seeded 1-4. If you had to play a play in game you shouldn't be seeded higher than a region tourney winner.

So what your saying is that the winner of the Summit League should be seeded higher than let's say Duke if they don't win the ACC?

I don't agree. You can have a weaker region or you can have an upset and a team with a lot of losses can be that region champion. Winning the region pulls some additional weight to help with seeding, but I don't feel the champion should be guaranteed a top 4 seed.

Overall, I feel the seedings for this tournament are accurate.

This is the exact thought I've always had when people complain about not getting a Top 4 seed (a little extreme but the point is being made).

Seeding looks to be using the season as a whole not just the past 7 days which is the correct way to go about it.

Look at sargent county's losses. 2 class A schools, a class A SD school, and 3 region loses to top 10 teams. They won their region tourney, why should they get punished for a hard schedule and playing in a very competitive conference. Like I said it wouldn't change much, but I would have given them at least a 4seed.

They got a better record in the whites? It actually changes nothing if they are the 4 seed.

Who are you seeding them over in the top 4? I agree with all 8 seeds.

I believe there's a better case to be made they could be seeded lower than higher

So refreshing to see no privates and bedroom communities in the state tournament this year.......oh wait! But in all seriousness, I think these small towns will bring great crowds and excitement to the B, looking forward to it. Should be some great games throughout the tournament.

Bishop Ryan is above Sargent County in every Statistical Category. And Ryan has a better Losses Resume than Sargent County. Lost to two statically better A Teams than Sargent did. Regardless like others have said it does not matter. All it affects is Jersey Color

So 2 Privates in Class B an 2 Privates in the State Class B tournament... and one of those teams lost 7 seniors..... We have a division for Private schools.... so play in that division and save your money from lawsuits and buys some new diapers.

My prayers are with Westhope/Newburg or Sargent County

If you seeded the region champions 1-4, I fail to see the point of seeding... You're just going to disregard teams that have a stronger season because they play in a strong region. Either seed nobody, or everyone.

I'm a fan of Sargent County and hope that they win the tournament. But I think i can make a better case for them being the 6th seed than the 4th. Bishop Ryan lost to the best Class A team in the western part of the state, a one point game on the road to DTrinity, and in the Regional Championship to Westhope-Newburg, who they beat twice previously. Meanwhile Sargent County split with the 6th seeded EKM, being outscored by 12 points over the coarse of the 2 games. Not saying it is a clear case that I would put Sargent Co. in front of EKM, but that would be a closer call then moving them in front of Bishop Ryan. And to place Sargent County in front of North Star, Bowman County, or Westhope-Newburg would be flat out ridiculous.

I like that they seed 1-8 and don't give the region winners the top 4 seeds. If the top 4 seeds were region winners you would have years where the best team in the tournament would be the 5 seed, which would be the reward for the 4 seed that won their region.

I see North Star & Bowman as equal and could see them being either the 1 or 2 seeds
I see W-N & Bishop Ryan as equal and could see them being either the 3 or 4 seeds
I see SC & EKM as equal and could have seen them with either the 5 or 6 seeds
I see ORCS as being slightly ahead of L-LM and thought those seeds were accurate.

In the end, the game is played on the court this weekend and seedings don't matter as much other than home/away on the scoreboard and what color unis are worn. Upsets are likely to happen but that's why you play the game.

I do find it interesting that the Top Class B teams get beat by the middle or lower Class A teams. That shows to me that is was completely correct to get a 3 Class system.

I know 1, if not both, of BR's "A" losses were without Walz. He was hurt in the DLB game which caused him to miss a stretch during the season. BR looked like nothing more than an average Class B team during that stretch.

If Bishop Ryan makes a run at state in 2026, I will join you. Outside of a couple guards, their roster is wiped out after that talented 2025 class graduates. (which is the case for alot of District 8 ).
