HWC beat North Star twice during the season. HWC was definitely the second best team in Region 4.

How many of these teams are in the tournament if the Region Championships were played again? How many are in the tournament if the Region Championships were a series format (note: this will never and should never happen)? Is this an argument for the 3 class system or a testament to the programs that did win their regions? Is it both?

Interesting topic.

I would say that if you were to play the regional tournaments again:

Region 1- Kindred and Enderlin would meet again in the championship, could be a different result.
Region 2- Could get a completely different representative, might not have either team back in the title game
Region 3- LaMoure LM vs Ellendale again, could be different result but I doubt it.
Region 4- FWM would win, could play North Star in the title game instead
Region 5- Wilton Wing would play Shiloh, I think Shiloh still prevails
Region 6- BIshop Ryan would still win
Region 7- Could get 2 different teams in the title game, I would say Beulah or Bowman would go to state
Region 8- Same two team in championship, I'd say Powers Lake would win the rematch.

I don't know if this is necessarily an argument for a 3 class system, but one is needed.

Disagree, big court, not enough subs, Eagles also wouldn't have made it past Bishop Ryan.

Region 8- Same two team in championship, I'd say Powers Lake would win the rematch.
100% agree that Powers Lake let one slip past, not saying they would of finished better in state though.

You're probably right on Kindred beating Enderlin again. I thought it could be a different result as I believe that Enderlin was a top 3 team in the state. I think they would have had the same result at state as Kindred.
