Very surprised Shiloh got the #3 seed over LaMoure. Otherwise other seeds look ok.

Will there be an upset??.. will Kindred and 4WM be the 2 teams in the championship?
I say it goes like this:

Kindred by 20+ over BC
Shiloh gets revenge on BR by 6(lost to them during the season)
4WM by 25+ on Stanley
Grafton pulls off the upsets over LLM by 6..

Kindred by 20+ over Shiloh
4WM by 20+ over Grafton
Bowman wins by 6
LLM wins by 15

BC gets 7th
LLM gets 5th
Grafton gets 3rd
Kindred plays M2M and edges 4WM by 10 for the championship

There will be no less than 15 dunks in this tourney...lol... and Kindred will have 10 of them

I'm not saying it was purposeful...but the optics of the Bismarck/Minot game works best in that spot.

People will clear out at halftime, looks way better on midafternoon tv versus showing an empty dome 2nd half of the 4 vs 5 game.

As much as it points to a FW/ Kindred final, I'll take the "field" that we wont see it

G1 - (20-2) #2 (2) Kindred vs Bowman County (19-5)
G2 - (20-4) #3 (10) Shiloh Christian vs Bishop Ryan (RV) (19-6)
G3 - (24-0) #1 (1) Four Winds-Minnewaukan (24-0) vs Stanley (18-6)
G4 - (22-3) #4 (8) LaMoure-L-M vs #5 Grafton (18-6)

LaMoure vs. Grafton will be the best game of opening day.

I will take Four Winds vs. Kindred in the Championship. My prediction is this going just like the girls tournament and there isn't a real competitive game for either of these teams until the championship. I will take Four Winds to win by 3.

Final Results:
1. Four Winds
2. Kindred
3. LaMoure
4. Shiloh
5. Grafton
6. Bowman County
7. Bishop Ryan
8. Stanley

G1 - (20-2) #2 (2) Kindred vs Bowman County (19-5)
Tough Match up for Kindred in the first round. Bowman is fast and can make the 3 ball. Kindred struggles against teams that shoot well from the outside. If Bowman County makes Kindred shoot the 3 and packs in a zone to prevent penetration it will be a close game.
G2 - (20-4) #3 (10) Shiloh Christian vs Bishop Ryan (RV) (19-6) I like Shiloh in this one

G3 - (24-0) #1 (1) Four Winds-Minnewaukan (24-0) vs Stanley (18-6) FWM by 35 in this one. Game will be over by the end of the second quarter. FWM is better at every postion.

G4 - (22-3) #4 (8) LaMoure-L-M vs #5 Grafton (18-6) I think LLM will take this one. Grafton is on a hot streak to make it as far as they have. I never thought Grafton had a chance to be in this game but I will LLM.

What a great week for being a sport's fan in ND. Congrats to all teams that made the "B". It's an honor to participate in this tournament and something the athletes, coaches and fans will remember for the rest of their lives. Have fun, stay healthy and best of luck to all teams.

Bowman County vs. Kindred - Kindred is big, athletic and deep. Shoot well from outside for big team.
Bishop Ryan vs. Shiloh Christian - If Shiloh's big guy is 80% or better, they win.
Stanley vs. FW/M - FW/M has best bb skillset as a team in tourney. Not quite as deep as past years.
Grafton vs. L/L/M - This should be a good matchup. Think LLM's inside game will take over.

LET"S SEE SOME UPSETS!!! :D

I will take kindred by 15+ over Bowman.
Minot over Bismarck by 5.
Four Winds over Stanley by 15+.
LaMoure over Grafton by 8.
The 2nd game and the 4th game should be interesting, the 1st and 3rd games will be over by half time.

G1 - (20-2) #2 (2) Kindred vs Bowman County (19-5)- Kindred is very, very solid. Bowman hasn't played east of Flasher so they haven't been seen in person by most on this board or most of the people in the state. I feel that they should have been seeded. They have twin guards who are a handful and have some very good shooters. This is arguably the worst draw they could have received. I think it's going to be closer than people think. Kindred by less than 10

G2 - (20-4) #3 (10) Shiloh Christian vs Bishop Ryan (RV) (19-6)- Minot over Bismarck by 3

G3 - (24-0) #1 (1) Four Winds-Minnewaukan (24-0) vs Stanley (18-6)- This one kind of has the feel when Four Winds played BCN in the state tournament about 15 years ago. I think FWM wins by 30+

G4 - (22-3) #4 (8) LaMoure-L-M vs #5 Grafton (18-6)- I think LLM will win this one. They are very well coached and playing their best basketball at the right time of the year. LLM by 7

I do think the worst draw would have been LLM but the second is Bowman. First game of the day.... bad time... Kindred might be inline to be upset.... Although Bowman has not faced anything like Kindred this year on the basketball court. They did on the football field for a 51 to 19 loss so I am sure that is in the mind for a little revenge.

Kindred
Four Winds
Bishop
Grafton
Shiloh
Lamoure
Stanley
Bowman

Shiloh vs Bishop should be interesting
Lamoure vs Grafton not sure about this one, but I hope Lamoure hangs in and pulls if off, I'm fine if they upset my picks.
Possible if's Stanley vs Lamoure could be good, I would take Lamoure

Going to be a fun week of BB!

1st Four Winds-Minnewaukan
2nd Kindred
3rd Shiloh Christian
4th Grafton
5th LaMoure
6th Bowman County
7th Bishop Ryan
8th Stanley

I think there is a clear gap between 2 and 3, but anything can happen with high school athletes. I think the best games of day one will be game 4 and game 1.

Thursday March 17th
G1 - (20-2) #2 (2) Kindred vs Bowman County (19-5) - Kindred - Might be closer than anticipated.
G2 - (20-4) #3 (10) Shiloh Christian vs Bishop Ryan (RV) (19-6) - Bishop Ryan - SC a bit beat up.
G3 - (24-0) #1 (1) Four Winds-Minnewaukan (24-0) vs Stanley (18-6) - FW-M- experience
G4 - (22-3) #4 (8) L-L-M vs #5 Grafton (18-6) - L-L-M - Grafton's isn't real deep. Physical = L-L-M

Friday March 18th
G5 - Bowman County vs Shiloh - BC hasn't had a lot of recognition media wise. They are solid. Bowman
G6 - Stanley vs. Grafton - Better match up for Grafton. Grafton
G7 - Kindred vs. Bishop Ryan - Kindred is built for a 3 day tourney. Kindred.
G8 - FW-M vs. L-L-M - FW-M team has really good basketball skills, but can't get early fouls. FW-M

Saturday March 19th
G9 - 7th Place - Shiloh vs. Stanley - Shiloh
G10 -5th Place - Bowman County vs. Grafton - Bowman County
G11 - 3rd Place - Bishop Ryan vs. L-L-M - Good game. Going with L-L-M
G12 - State B Title Game - Kindred vs. FW-M - Should be an entertaining game. Depends who sets the tempo. If FW-M stays out of early foul trouble, they can win. Tourney is pretty physical. Kindred.

Best of luck to all teams.

Wow, a running clock in a state tournament game. Safe to say that Stanley has not faced any thing close to this type of defense all year.

He has been fine, although the bar is very low if you're using the girls' tournament as a comparison.

I have no problem with that.

True. If LMM and Grafton had played the two privates I think the semi-finals would be all from the east. I see Kindred and FW winning by 12+ tomorrow, but the final two games on Saturday should both be good ones.

Good first day, biggest surprise to me was LLM not fouling full court with 2 team fouls up 3 with 13 seconds left. Got lucky Grafton didn’t hit a 3.
It is a little harder to motivate kids I guess because they’ve been pampered so much. We’re in the trophy generation, give ‘em a trophy for 23rd place, make ‘em feel good. Make mom and dad feel good.” Tom Izzo, Michigan State Basketball
