Wow Flasher goes down. Injurys took their season. I was hoping to see them in State. Hopefully Wilton Wing and play two of the best games of their life and get to the show.
Also Powers Lake with a 1 point win to move on. Wow.. that would have been a huge upset. Everything else looked like chalk.

Wilton-Wing is going to have top play a great game tonight, Standing Rock was firing on all cylinders last night. This one should be a High scoring game

Two Regions to watch is both Region 2 & 7 games. I expect Beulah & Trinity to win, but I'd say both games will come down to the wire. In region 2 i'd say those games will be very close as well

Assuming the favorites from each region make it to state, I don't think Powers Lake should be seeded. If they do it should be the 4/5. Good on them to survive and advance, but a 1 point win over White Shield will not help their seeding at state. If Beulah played PL's schedule they would be undefeated with a 30+ average margin of victory

My predictions for the championship games we know:

Region 1: I think Enderlin gets it done and squeaks past Kindred. Should be the best game of the night across the state and I believe the winner will be in the state championship (vs. Four Winds). Enderlin wins 65 to 62

Region 2: This region has been pretty even steven across the top 4 or 5 for the last half of the season so it isn't shocking the one and two seed are both out already. HCV is just rolling on defense right now giving up 21 and 36 points in the tournament so far. I think this game comes down to if they can score enough to win. I will take HCV to win by a score of 50 to 45.

Region 3: Love the small school vs. small school matchup here. Both teams are very good. I will take the big guy from Ellendale to have a huge game and punch their ticket. Ellendale wins 60 to 58.

Region 4: Four Winds keeps on rolling toward a perfect season it what will be a surprisingly close game until real late. Four Winds wins 70 to 60.

Region 5: Maybe this is wishful thinking but I don't think Shiloh is playing at their best and think Wilton gets it done. WW wins 50 to 48.

Region 7: Bowman is rolling right now and I think they use that momentum to keep going. Bowman wins 70 to 63.

Reg. 1 Title Game - (17-5) #1 (4) Enderlin vs Kindred (2) #3 (19-2)- I want Enderlin to win this game so badly, but I don't think they're going to get it done. I'll say Kindred by 4

Reg. 2 Title Game - #3 Hillsboro-Central Valley vs Grafton #4- I think the size of HCV wins out here. HCV by 9

Reg. 3 Title Game - (21-3) D5#1 (8) LaMoure-L-M vs Ellendale (9) D5#2 (20-2)- Rubber match for these two. Both have solid programs and are very well coached. I'm going to go with the best player. I'll say Ellendale by 3

Reg. 4 Title Game - (23-0) D7#1 (1) Four Winds-Minnewaukan vs Harvey-Wells County D7#2 (20-4)- I think this game has a chance to be sneaky close. FWM has beat them by 53 combined points in the 2 games this year. I think FWM will win, but HWC will give them fits. FWM by 7 (wouldn't shock me if I'm wrong and FWM wins by 30 plus)

This is exactly what I was going to say about Region 4 tonight. FWM blew them out in the reg season, but the district championship game was close through 3 quarters. I thought FWM would dominate the region tournament, but they really haven't so far. This could end up being a tight game, but FWM might turn it into a blowout as well. Either way, I see FWM heading to state.

Jumping off Sportsrub's comment regarding how they are picking HCV in region 2 because "defense doesn't slump". I don't think HCV plays defense as well as they have in the past. I do think their size causes some teams issues. I looked at the 12 teams that will play in championship games tonight. I figured out what percentage of the points they scored themselves, they allowed to their opponents. I like this stat better than point differential because if you play an up tempo style, you should have a higher point differential than a team that plays a slower style. I also get that if you play a more difficult schedule, your numbers will be tighter than if you play a schedule on the weak side. Here are the numbers.
