Maybe 5 over 4...that game is pretty even but E, CC & K win (NC could be competitive but I think big court and size gets K to semis).

Enderlin has significant advantage over SC or OG in semis this year.
Kindred over CC in a tight, fun battle.

CC wins 3rd Place
E/K play a tight contest...I'll pick Enderlin.

Enderlin
Oak Grove
CC
Kindred

Enderlin
Coin flip...Kindred

I'll take whoever is playing Enderlin for the trip to the B, both Kindred and CC could win that game.

I think this will be a great tournament, probably the region tournament I have been most excited for in a long time. I think it depends on what you consider an upset - I don't think you can really have an upset in the 4/5 game so let's exclude that. I think Northern Cass is the best upset candidate because of the way they can shoot the ball when they are rolling. In round two I think Oak Grove could look to upset too. I'm going to say that neither happens though but wouldn't be shocked at all if either did. So here is my region tourney predictions:

Enderlin over Richland by 20+
Oak Grove over Sargent County by 3
Central Cass over Lisbon by 15+
Kindred over Northern Cass by 10

Enderlin over Oak Grove by 10
Kindred over Central Cass by 2

Enderlin over Kindred by 2

#9 Richland vs #1 Enderlin
Enderlin by 25, too much height. The coach for Richland deserves COY for R1. He has transformed a team that was expected by many to finish last or right at the bottom. Richland has competed very well and even upset a few teams along the way. They believe they are going to win every game, and they have improved more than anyone from the start of the year to the finish.
#4 Sargent County Vs #5 Oak Grove
SC has had a couple of disappointing games and unexpected losses this year, and they aren't playing their best BB at this time of the year. Rooting for them, but I think OG gets them by 1-2.
#2 Central Cass vs #7 Lisbon
Lisbon is the most physical team in the tournament, as Caleb Olson is a beast in the middle. Lisbon should've beat them earlier in the year when they played, but CC didn't have their best player that game in Cole Holzer. Cole makes a huge difference and CC wins by 12-15 this time.
#3 Kindred vs #6 Northern Cass
Kindred by 16, just a better overall team and NC relies on the 3 way too much. Kindred has the height and length to defend.

Enderlin over OG by 12
Kindred over CC by 6-8, and Kindred beats Enderlin and goes to state again.

A part of me would like to see Enderlin, but I think Kindred's depth and defense is going to be too much. Enderlin plays only 6-7 kids & they are a much better team than they were last year, but Kindred has more athletes if it becomes a track meet. The winner of this game will be in the state title game.

I think SC has the best shot of upsetting Enderlin, they have a bunch of kids that are good not great but could run Enderlin off the court if coach lets them, blueprint on how to beat Enderlin, run them in the ground!!!
I also say Richland will hang for awhile against Enderlin today,

It'll be closer then the season matchup but I don't think either OG or SC will make enough shots to upset Enderlin...even if they play up-tempo

Oak Grove looked pretty good last night, look out Enderlin, Kindred will beat CC if they shoot like they did last night, and kids stop doing gestures every time you score, one kid(won't name team) was about 1-11 from 3 point range, but the one he made he had make sure the other student section new about it, my lord frustrating to watch

Enderlin Vs OG. To much size makes the difference. If OG can run and make shoots with the eagles it could be close but Size is to much of a difference with the Twin Towers and Bartho getting every rebound. Eagles by 18

Kindred Vs CC- kindred to much size and depth for a young inexperienced CC team. Will be close for 2 1/2 Q’s but Kindred makes late run to win by 13pts

Enderlin vs. Oak Grove - I'm curious to see how Oak Grove plays it. One option is just to go wide open - run and run and run and run. See if the big guys can keep up or how long Enderlin can go without use a deep bench. I think they push them but will still take Enderlin to win. Final score 70 to 58.

Kindred vs. CC - Should be a great game. Both teams are playing real well and are capable of winning. I selfishly want Kindred because I think it would make for a great championship game with Enderlin. I will take Kindred to win 66 to 62.

OG has NO size and will not score much inside...They'll have to be 50% or better from 3 to even compete or get two of the bigs in foul trouble early.

Enderlin 78-48

Kindred size wins out but it will be a close game

Kindred 58-54

Still got to make the shots...they can get hot, but they have NOT been very consistent beyond the arc this year. They don't have that deep range threat like Christianson or Martinson. If they can get one or two in foul trouble early in 1st half then the game changes and the mid range game of Bakkegard opens up. If Card gets in foul trouble early...OG doesn't have much strength to contend with any size...it is impressive how far OG goes some years when they have zero posts...they just don't have consistent shooting this year for me to be entirely confident in the SF upset.

It does make a difference what reffing crew works that game, any foul trouble by Enderlin makes very interesting then!

CC can win if.... They Hit 12 3's and Kindred shoots 35% from the freethrow line. Only one sick kid with no injuries this time so Kindred should be at 90% tonight unlike 60% last time.

Ya never know with Oak Grove and Enderlin. I think this is the Eagles year to at least make it to the Finals. So the Eagles for me.

I was close on my Kindred/CC prediction

I was not with my Enderlin/OG...good for OG to compete...great for Enderlin to make Title game.

CC over OG for 3rd: 80-70
Enderlin over Kindred for Title: 52-50

Well the game most people wanted to see is going to be on a big stage. If they can not play each other in state then this is what you will get.

59 to 49 Kindred.
IF Kindred plays man defense for 90% of the game and they can shoot 65% from the free-throw line.

Great game by CC. They played very well and the future looks bright for the future. I predict they will be in State next year(Sargent County I feel has a chance as well if they learn how to play defense)

If Enderlin can stay out of foul trouble and keep turnovers under 12... they win by 10.

I thought SC had a great year and their coach could win COTY in Region 1.

I think Kindred wins this one by 10. When they get on that par 5 floor in Wahpeton, I don't believe the Enderlin will have the depth to play at the level needed.
