I am shocked that Harvey has never been there and it has been 70 years for Washburn. Hazen not being there for 35 years and Larimore for 40+ years are also surprising. These are all fairly large class B schools over time with some decent athletic success in other sports.

in the 70's and 80's it was Normally one Town teams (although many of those one Town teams had acquired kids from even smaller towns close by that had their Schools fold in the 50's and 60's (those little towns weren't mentioned) , and a few Co-ops were developing....

in the 90's and early 2000's the co-ops and consolidations were coming on strong giving Coaches more numbers to work with

in the later 2000's and up to now days, the towns that were fairly good sized programs fizzled out and had to find other alternatives and make even more plans to field teams

not going into who and when but I have noticed throughout the years how a Town that was known maybe more for Football and Wrestling acquired a smaller Class B Basketball town, that didn't offer football or maybe even track and they really benefited from the situation....
example: Fordville/Lankin going to Park River or even St. Thomas going to Grafton
now its cycled all the way to Schools close to the Metro and Privates right in the Metro and one whole County and then some, at one School or lets say all on the same team....its evolution stemming from Big Big Farms and other Demographics due to employment etc etc

This would maybe show us if it is truly a school size thing or maybe other things such as a great coach or program. The one that sticks out to me is Beach, boys success not even close to the girls success if state tourney appearances is the standard.

Original posts says from 1991, so Dunseith's 1990 visit wouldn't count. I looked and I see Warwick made it in 1989, but again, that is before 1991.

I agree. The one that sticks out to me on the Eastern side of the state comparing boys to girls is Oak Grove. On the boys side they are almost always in at least the Region semi's. On the girls side, they definitely struggle. Without looking I would guess it's been quite a while since they made the region semi's.

Oak Grove GBB Region results - 2014 (4th), 2017 (4th) & 2018 (3rd) (otherwise you have to go back to when GBB was in the fall around 1999/2000 time frame); lately it has been a struggle for them to compete.
