I still think there are 5 teams that could win this...I'm still not a believer in either D/A 's or Rugby's defense so I'll take Minot over Minot (either or) in the final

My picks for Region 3:
Linton-HMB and Ellendale will be the best game of the 1st round. Linton should win it, but I find it hard to pick against Coach Vance and what his teams have done in the Regional Tournament the last few years. This is a battle between two good teams and two excellent coaches - I will take Linton by 5 or less.
LaMoure over Strasburg-Zeeland by double digits. If Strasburg had their 2 starters playing it would be closer, but with them out and Theilges (sp?) on LaMoure's bench it will be a double digit win for them.
Oakes will beat Napoleon by 17+. Oakes has the size to shut down Napoleon's post and the offensive firepower to put this one away early. Napoleon will have no answer for Oakes ability to run the floor.
Edgeley-Kulm-Montpelier over Kidder COunty by double digits. KC can't handle EKM's size or athleticism.

That's about what I'm thinking. Game 1 should be a great, the only other one who may be able to keep it somewhat close for 4 quarters seems to be KC but they just don't match up very well with EKM. SZ and NGS just don't seem to have the firepower to hang in there for 4 quarters. Should be a fun day around the state today.

You could make a case for Kindred as the 5 as well. I don't think Rugby or Bismarck Shiloh will get a seed. I could see the 2/3 being flipped, Dickinson Trinity has some really good wins but I think the loss to Mott-Regent moves them to the 3 seed.

Why does it seem like in Girls B the winner of the Region takes the best team in that Region's ranked spot but in boys we throw darts a little bit more?

I think Kindred lost to EKM in the regular season so I suppose that could be flipped but I think Kindred is the better team right now. Doesn't' matter in the bracket anyway.
