Every first poll always has 18-23 teams; never fails because of geography bias & Hoopster rankings. Look at the girls first poll: about 20 teams; now on poll #3 we are down to 14. The boys poll will likely have more movement because of those several key matchups among top teams at shootouts around the State

Should be an interesting 2nd night at CNDC...I'm not sure how its seeded, but I would expect Rugby vs Dunseith and St John vs NR/S will be the likely Friday night games

To me it’s strange Thompson and OG are still getting votes. Kindred is a team who should be getting recognized and is not.

The others receiving votes category is ordered by points, so any teams listed toward the end are likely getting a single vote, usually a #10 vote. Kindred is certainly a good candidate, having leads in both their losses to very good competition.

Region 4 this year is going to be quite a battle with Fourwinds, Langdon/Edmore/Munich, New Rockford, and St. John all these teams are good and my guess is that who ever improves most through the season is going to have the best chance. Not to mention couple of the other teams in the region that could possibly be in the mix before the season ends.

Rugby won over Dunseith 77-58 in the semifinals and then beat NR-S 52-48 in OT (which I think is when NR-S started getting some 'love' in the polls) in the CNDC Championship.

Dunseith is 2-2 as they then lost to St. John in 3rd Place game of CNDC (72-65)
