the game should be a coin toss pick, but something tells me it could be a 10 point ball game favoring Thompson

This game is fascinating to me because I'm not sure how to pick it. Grafton has no post game to speak of so one would think that would be a huge advantage for Thompson. However, if Grafton can use those guards and speed to pester the bigs of Thompson it could be an interesting game. Ultimately I think Thompson finds a way. I will take Thompson by between 7 and 10 points. Final score something like 55 to 47. Some big games in Region 2 to finish out the season. 7 to 13 is all still up in the air and this 3 vs. 4 matchup could be huge for regional tournament. I think trying to avoid certain teams at different points in the tournament will be a big deal this year.

I think its going to be closer than 7-10 points. If the Spoilers stay on the hot outside shooting streak they've been on they can pull it out.

I would agree that if Grafton shoots well they will have a good chance at the end of the game. Shooting is an equalizer when you are undersized. Grafton always plays tough fundamental D. Thompson has the bigger kids and more experience in this type of high pressure game. Should be a good one.

My predictions for tonight's play-in games:

G1: #9 Griggs County Central (8-13) @ #8 Park River-FL (6-14) by 2 to 5 points
G2: #13 Finley-Sharon-Hope-Page (1-20) @ #4 North Border (15-5) by 15+
G3: #12 Larimore (3-17) @ #5 Cavalier (13-8) by 20+
G4: #10 Drayton/Valley-Edinburg (6-15) @ #7 Midway-Minto (7-14) by 2 to 5 points
G5: #11 May-Port-CG (3-17) @ #6 Grafton (15-6) by 15+

I think the home teams sweep. The only games I see being competitive from start to finish are the Griggs vs. Park River matchup and the DVE vs. Midway. I think both of these games could go either way. DVE vs. Midway is really interesting since they split in the regular season so this is the one I think will be most fascinating but PR vs. Griggs should be an excellent game as well. The other 3 games would need to come down to a lower seed playing the best game of their season while the high seed stumbled. Should be an exciting regional tournament this year! Good luck to everyone!

Was at the Grafton -Thompson game. Good game Thompson’s bigs were just too much. #25 put up 21 pts and 22 boards. Interested to see the adjustments the spoilers make to defend the bigs as it looks like they could match up in the first round of regions which will be a whale of a game!
On a side note I know we always celebrate scoring But 22 boards? That’s a lot. Talking to A fan from Thompson I guess #25 has gone over 20 rebounds 3 or 4 times this year. That’s impressive.

Grafton vs. Thompson should be a good regional game as should Cavalier vs. North Border. Regional tournament should be really interesting. HN, HCV, Thompson, Cavalier, North Border, Grafton could all beat each other in a one game tournament setting. Hoping that regional shakes out as fun as the season was. Should be a good one!

Ya 7-11 was all so close that I thought those 7-10 and 8-9 matchups were going to do be battles.
